you mean 1 gig?
512 is the minimum u can run the game on
i would recommend getting 1gig of ram to run the game at a good speed but expect some cases of slow down
however 2gigs of ram will run the game smooth with no lag...well depending on your gfx card also
I really don't know. I have 750Mb and the game performance in my computer isn't good. Perhaps 1Gb is enough.
lol 1gig prob yeah.
i m thinking of buyin 2 gig, so i guess i will be set for the next total war in two years
whats the price though ?
Yes you should buy 1 gig. And 2 gig is even better. I now have 2 gig in my pc and it runs like crap through a goose ;-)
'Crap through a goose' LOL never heard that one that a regional saying? Anyway 512mb is pretty outdated now 1GB is more or less needed for today's games. I reckon another 512mb stick will cost £50 and yes it does the world of difference sometimes!Originally Posted by General_olli

I would recommend 1GB atleast.
You see a great difference between 512mb and gig. I was amazed at how much better performance was in games, my RAM was holding me back some.
When I went from 512 mb to 1 Gb, Battlefield 2 became such a better experience. Load times were way faster and the frames would smooth out much quicker (before it would be choppy for the first 5 mins before smoothing out).
So yeah, more ram will do you wonders. Buy a gig to go with your 512.

ive got 1.5 gigs, i had 512mb, it makes a huge difference. i have i think its hyperthreading where on my computer it says i have .75 gigs but its actually double. but anyways from 512mb to 1.5 gigs went from all the lag in ironforge in world of warcraft, to no lag, even on sunday nights. those of you who have played WoW know what i mean.
Well what are your other specs, your memory may not be the bottleneck.

yeah we're all new counting down the days till I can enjoy some senseless slaughter.
I've upgraded my GPU and now my comp is this:
Athlon 64 3000
512mb ddr pc3200 ram
Geforce 7600gt 258mb card
What would you guys advise me to do with the ram, buy one more 512mb stick or another 1gig stick? I can get a 1gig for about £35 and 512 for £25 ish.
One gig is the max any game is going to need right now.
@Filip_bre, make sure you have a decent graphics card first, even if you have 1 gig of ram if you got integrated graphics it's still going to run like crap.

I would still rather have 2 gigs, better safe than sorry.Originally Posted by Incinerate_IV

Yea, future games are definitely going 2 gigs, but since he is on a limited budget he'll be better off buying another 512 stick and a decent vid card than blow all his money on 2 gigs of ram.Originally Posted by Shaun

I HAVE THIS GRAPHIC CARD: GeForce 7300 GS (256)
and :
Dell 9150
3Ghz
512Ram
4CPU
over 130 Gig free
what should i do, buy two of 512, or straight one of 1 gig ? Because ive been told that it could be better sometimes to buy two of the half than straight one entire (2x 512 vs 1gig ??)
thank you a lot for telling whats the best for me here
Get another 512 stick and upgrade that ultra low end GPU!Originally Posted by Filip_bre
