As you can read here sexual abuse by Catholic priests has a price tag and it's a hefty one.

I guess this has to do with the recent abolition of Limbo that removed some of the confusion on the fate of those paedophiliac pillars of Christendom.

Heaven just become more expensive.

Benedict XVI, a few days ago, has explicitly and harshly condemned priest pedophilia, and announced severe restrictive measures for priests involved.

It is also quite interesting that you actually believe the Catholic church is a pedophile association. Interesting to say the least.

What on Earth has limbo got to do with this matter? I think you're getting it confused with purgatory, actually.

Though I may be Orthodox, I do feel the need to stand up for my schismatic Catholic brothers where necessary, and I think that people are very unfair to the Catholic Church about this. Contrary to popular belief, not that many Roman Catholic priests are paedophiles or perverts. The Catholic Church has had trouble with this in the past, but with proper penalties and with proper vetting of potential priests, people will once again see that the idea that priest=paedophile is ridiculous.

Undoubtedly the problem exists, don't get me wrong. I went to church when I was a kid, and one of the catechists was a pedophile, who luckily was found before he could do harm. This though involved one in perhaps ten I had during my four years of catechism, and in the hundreds others who operated in other churches, and before, at the age of ten, I decided that I had more serious things to do than frequenting churches, of course, like for example reading divulgational books of physics.

I have to reiterate what I said elsewhere: nothing in Christian scripture encourages pedophilia. On the other hand, a big deal of Islamic scripture encourages war (merciless war) against infidels, and in a modern context, interpretations which lead to terrorism as well.

You don't believe me? Read the Qu'ran, Hadiths, life of Mohammed, Tafsirs, etc.

Notice also, that I, raised a Catholic, and surely a Catholicism sympathiser (although I have passed to other religious forms, namely deism-gnosticism), admit the faults of the Catholic Church. I would love if others did the same about the religion they were born with (and if nobody turned this into another Islam thread, there's a limit to everything: this is a TW forum, not a forum on terrorism and Jihad).

The difference being mainly, that in Christianism bad priests perform crimes, in Islam good prophets do.
