Hey, I noticed that when I import my CAS file and texture file the shield always looks square even when the shield is oval. The corners of the square are black.

When i import the 3DMax png file across to Photoshop them copy and paste onto the unit card files the black parts of the square remain.

How can I get rid of this?

Thanks again.

You need to add an opacity filter to the render...

Fantastic, thank you. Just one more thing, how do you do it for cavalry where you have the horse and the rider?

Thanks again.

Thanks for that. Just one more thing, I have successfully made my infantry card and it looks great, but when I play in the game only the grass is visible on the card, the figure is missing.

Now I used the "Move Tool" to click and drag the figure onto the grass unit_info file. I then saved it as a tga file and put it in the game under the correct file name.

Any suggestions here as to what I have done wrong, or not done yet? I feel I'm nearly there.

Thanks again.

Do you have this, it allows you to view TGA files in windows browser, you can check your UI cards without going in game, sounds like you've saved your template rather than your UI with added unit..

i downloaded the file. The tga file shows up with the software package as a whole, but again when I load the game only the UI template card appears. Any suggestions.

I tried copying and pasting the figure image onto the UI card template, then saved the combined image as a tga file. I assume this is correct?

Cheers

EDIT: I solved, it seems when I was saving the png file as a tga I didn't tick off the alpha channel square in the options.

How do I prevent this. Once this is answered then I have it all.

Thanks again for your invaluable assistance.

For modelling 3d Max, which is very expensive.
For Skinning Photoshop (which isn't cheap) or Gimp, which is free.

FYI: By the way if you take part in the Autodesk Education Community and you select to be either a student or teacher you can get any version of 3ds max 10 11 12 for free for personal (noncommercial) use of course.

Cheers.

Btw: Wished there was a way to import two animations or well link animation to horse and rider respectively concerning mounted units.
