Nope, Sir Bailache (sp) is a very able-headed judge and figurehead of state, meanwhile our chief minister is a corrupt and selfish ex-planning commity member. The Bailiff rules ok thank god (and no, the bailiff is not the guy who chucks you out of your house, hes the head of state here)
I try not to hate anyone.

sg, am I right in thinking you live in Jersey? In which case your head of state is in fact Queen Elizabeth II, as you are a Crown Dependancy, although not part of the United Kingdom.
Personally, I don't really have feelings about QE2, despite my feelings about the institution she represents, as she is all-but powerless, and is nicely apolitical, unlike her husband or her heir.

My head of state is a douche. But I don't necessarily "hate" him. I just think he's very much misguided in most of the things he talks about/does.

Nah. I hardly agree with the man on every single thing, but it's clear to me he's dedicated and has good intentions;
Now, if you're talking about our "king", on the other hand, who only has about as much power as the average voter and whose royal house probably should never have been founded... Yeah, I have to say I do. All they're good for is a bloody drain on tax money. And for a cheap morale boost for the more naive citizenry, I guess.
Actualy tGS, I do live in Jersey, but Duchess Elizebeth II (as is her title here) holds very little power, other then her visits every five years or so Britian has no influence in Jersey, we are still not a member of the EU. Yes she still has the power to seize any part of the isles or veto any senatorial decision, but the crown has not interferred here for hundreds of years.
But she is still the Head of State of Jersey, despite not governing it, just as she is in the UK.

Im British so my head of state is Elizabeth II.
I have nothing against the Royal family and believe they have the power to do good. However, ideally I would rather not have a monarchy and would rather a British Republic, which we had for a while in the 17th century.
My opinion of the Prime Minister (Tony Blair): He started off meaning well and we all had high hopes for him. However he has become the lackey of Bush and has alienated himself from the people of the UK. Id like to tell him that he is a disappointment and has gone astray.

No more then a figurehead on our pound notes, I thought looking at the title I may as well comment on the real head of state rather then someone who we ignore over the channel
I don't like any politicians. And I trust my two countries' heads of states about as far as I can throw either of them. I think Harper is little more than a clone of Bush, or at least a lapdog (I don't consider Queen Elizabeth II as the Canadian head of state, even though she technically is).
And as to Erdogan, I believe he's done a lot of good for Turkey, but I still think he needs to be kept on a secular leash (and shouldn't be allowed to become President after serving his term as Prime Minister). But at the same time, he's better than the only other viable alternative, which is the MHP, which is a Turkish far-right party that was a major player in the street fighting in the '70s.

Not often do I actually truly hate anyone, but I can say I HATE Bush. It has been pretty much all downhill since he was elected to office. Some things were beyond his control, but the way he handled them was horrible.

Don't hate him, or like him particularly much. He is only symbolic after all. Good at cutting cords. Apart from that he is also a good sailor (olympic gold) and a five star general, he is even refreshingly uncharismatic. Guess were formally under military rule, though. At least we don't need to elect some idiot that divides the country.
