Default Looking for two specific mods

    Hi guys,

Now that Rome II is in its definitive edition, I felt happier about looking into the modding scene again. In particular, there's two things I want to change. Firstly, I'd like to remove flaming ammo from the game in general. It's a personal preference of mine, but I think it looks a bit silly when it gets used so often, what with soldiers bursting into flames like they've been rolling in lamp oil before the battle. Way back in the day I made my own mod which removed this ammo type, but CA put a patch out which broke my mod, and I never did get it working again.

The second thing I'd like to do is reduce the re-enforcement range of city garrison armies to zero. In my view, these forces are supposed to be the civilians of the town, dragged from their homes and given some weapons and armour once the enemy is at the gate. They shouldn't be able to leave the city to act as a standing army, because they're not.

Any thoughts on how I could go about making these myself, or are there mods already out there that do the same thing?

I've managed to find a few tables on garrison related things, but I still haven't figured out if it's possible to give specifically garrison created units either zero action points to stop them leaving a city, or to drastically reduce their re-enforcement range.

From memory, all engagement ranges are controlled by the same value (zone_of_control_land in campaign_variables), so reducing garrison activity range also reduces the zone that armies can control.
As for removing flaming arrows: missile_weapons_to_projectiles -> delete all flaming projectile entries -> include the entire table in your pack (cant fragment because you're removing functionality)
It’s better to excite some and offend others than be bland and acceptable to all
