    Default vanilla replayability?

how long do you think vanilla will last you? i plan on playing a least venice, england, milan, france, sicily, hre, turks, and the moors before playing a mod. hell i might play all of them, or at least any others i find as interesting and fun looking throughout the campaigns of the others. this should last me a long time. ill probably play vanilla until at least the end of february or even to the end of march depending on how much i get to play. cant wait till it comes out, i get early dismissal the 14th for conferences, and then thanksgiving break the next week.

    One campaign.

I expect little. I shall not be disappointed.

I've never finished a campaign. Ever. Closest I came was vanilla RTW where I had taken quite a lot as the Julii.

Wait! MTW comes out.....before Thanksgiving break!!!!??

I suspect I'll have lots of replayability, mainly because I enjoy playing various faction campaigns with different goals in mind each time around.

A fair ammount, I mean, depending on the mods released I may not want to play anything but vanilla.

    ...but that's unlikely

Well at least till decent mods start coming out. I plan to play as the russians, byzantium, turks, moor, france, england, hre, denmark, poland, venice, spain, portugal, and sicily. So they+MP should last me a while

I think there is going to be more replayability with adding the new religion aspects. Id like to play at like one faction from the 5 religions in the game.

I really wont be able to stick to one campaign with so many factions to chose from so i think vanilla will last me a while, then when i get bored hopefully there will be some good mods out. I really wanna properly finnish one as well because i have never played a campaign right until the end. To start with ill have to try scotland after they are unlocked because ive always wanted to be my home country. After that like to try a campaign with milan maby, because they look interesting, althought might lack potential from their position, but i really wanna do alot of crusading. I think the Ottomans will be a really cool facion too, conquering eqypt and constantinpole.

Portugal, and ill go colonizing the new world and before that i will have an very healthy relationship with the pope and i will keep being friendly to spain as i send crusade after crusade to the holy lands and expedition after expedition to the islets of europe, england comes last.

Thats quite a shocking statement actually. Mods such as RTR or EB dwarf anything you might have gotten out of vanilla. I played quite some RTW vanilla till I found the realism mods. After that I felt dirty having played vanilla.

Probably I will play MTW2 vanilla till the first realism patch comes out.

I'll probably buy M2TW when/if work on C2TW starts up, and help them with their mod. Likely I will play one campaign as the English or French, and then not go back to vanilla. On Rome, I started some ten campaigns as different nations, and realised I would only have fun as the julii. So I started a julii campaign, conquered a third of the map and when it was all roman and the civil war started, I quit because I realised how boring the civil war would be. Then I got CTW and played continuously from then on.

If it lasts as long as Rome did (still does) for me, I'll get my moneys worth and more.

I still boot up SPQR and play my Egyptian campaign from time to time but I'm mostly playing the MTW2 demo.

    WTF?

The great Lusted playing vanilla 2 years after the release?! (why the hell is the unmodded version called vanilla?)

EDIT: Going to play vanilla for a long time, I think (excluding Xenophonia, but that's a voicemod)

I'd use more mods if they didnt use the quantity over quality misconception when it comes to number of provinces. The amount of provinces in M2TW appears to be just enough for my liking, so i think i'll stick with vanilla.

It's even more of a shocking statement when you realise i've made a major mod for RTw. Yet even though mods do add in a lot more, nd increase the quality of RTW, i still love going back every once in a while and playing a vanilla campaign.
