Hey there.

I was wondering if it is possible to force the AI to use the formation traditionally used by Daimyo during this time, the Sonae. (As wonderfully described in this post: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...=1#post1805712)

This has several requirements.

1) Make the AI un-fond of flanking. I've noticed a huge problem with the AI's lack of discipline is its uncontained desire to flank. Units within Sonaes did not act independently and thus would never flank other units. If a flanking action would occur it would be the entire Sonae creating another front on an opposing, larger Sonae. If it is possible to mod out the AI's desire to flank then it would be possible to maintain the formations while fighting, maybe even make reserves useful. If it is not possible what sort of deterrence could there be, unmodded, to make the AI keep their lines?

2) Prevent the AI from creating a wide, shallow front. They must be made to keep a dense formation instead of trying to cover every inch of land.

3) Each reinforcing army must be its own formation, rather than combining all their forces into a single giant formation.

I am aware of the groupformations.bin part of PFM, but I don't know how to use it and do the things mentioned above.

Bonus Question: Is it possible to limit the amount of a certain unit in an army as opposed to overall?

Thanks!
