Who won Mr Olympia 2008??

Any fans of Bodybuilding out there, do any of you know who won 2008 Mr Olympia?? Was it Jay Cutler or Ronnie Coleman?? Ronnie apparently retired but then he made a comeback.

Since nobody follows professional bodybuilding on the forum to my shock, I found out the results of the Mr Olympia 2008 contest and will post them myself.

The winner of the 2008 Joe Weider's Mr Olympia is Dexter Jackson.

He truly deserved to win!!!

He's certainly got good abs and doesn't suffer from the bloated look that Ronnie and Cutler both seem to have. Maybe the judges got pissed off at that so awarded it to someone with a flatter stomach.

Yep, you are right. He always had those nice and clean lines and his physique was always in top form. The only thing that he lacked was more size and finally this year he got it.
Plus he was on the roll during the entire 2008, he won Night of the Champions, Ironman Pro Invitational, Australian Gran Prix, Arnold Classic, and finally the Mr Olympia. So, he was really unstoppable, that's why he is taking entire 2009 off so he can prepare for the comeback in 2010.
We will see what will happen then because there will be other guys who will be ready for the fight. Jay Cutler among them, as for Ronnie I would say that he is out. He is still big but he got that "roid gut" now and it's tremendous pressure for him when it comes to dieting and training for the Mr Olympia.

Dexter Jackson won his first Mister Olympia in October 2008. However, he won other top pro shows numerous times.

Can you spell steroids? His body is quite impressive but obviously steroids helped him get there. I wish there was a contest where they actually made sure the contestants are not doping in some form.

Steroids? Duh! It's professional bodybuilding.

And there are "natural" competitions. So you don't have to wish.

Well of course it's the steroids. To win Mister Olympia which is the top of the professional bodybuilding you have to be on steroids. It's just the way it is and there is no other way if you wanna be a pro.

There are numerous natural shows on the international and national level where contestants are obliged to be drug-free and they are. But those shows will never allow you to reach the peak of the sport and that's pro shows. To get there however, you have to start taking steroids and Human Growth Hormone. Even synthetic morphine drug called Nubaine which can get very dangerous.

That looks horrendous. Why would anybody want to look like that?

Well my friend, that is a philosophical question there. You can immediately go into lenghty debate about what looks good and what not.

Ahh, there are ten thousand times worse things then this. it cannot be that bad. It's a sport that actually helps people in a major way, not only physically but also emotionally, psychologically, self-esteem, etc.
