first, i'd like to say this : i've been playing EB since 2006 (that was 0.8, if i remember correctly), so when i saw that EBII was finally out, i literally shouted out loud and fist-pumped multiple times in my office! a huge, huge THANK YOU to the modders for creating the greatest total conversion of a game, and the greatest and most accurate historical strategy game, in the history of mankind - and now we have an all-new, improved version.

just a quick question : it's actually been ages since i last installed a mod (EB 1.2 has been in my computer since it first came out), so i'm having trouble understanding what 'vanilla M2TW' means (or rather, remembering what is meant by 'vanilla'). i've downloaded 2.01, and i have Medieval II Total War as well as kingdoms. does 2.01 need M2TW with Kingdoms installed, or is M2TW enough?

Vanilla - clean original game (with no modifications)

All mods in the 'Kingdoms: Hosted Modifications' section (which EB2 is) requires both Medieval II Total War & Kingdoms expansion patched to version 1.5.
