    Default hiding?

ummm... i dont know if somebody has already asked this... but is it possible to hide troops in the old demo? I do manage to get the troops hidden... but by mistake. I dont know what im doing wrong. I select the unit, and click under a tree, or in the woods (in Agincourt or Pavia custom battles) and nothing happens...

    please help.
    Thanks in advance...

You could pick up the new demo. They hide easyly there. I don't think they worked out the at that point in development, in the old demo that is.

hmm... since some of u guys can hide ur troops, i just wanna rattle off a few questions (well, one for now):

do troops remain hidden when kept in dense regions (ie. even while marching)?

No, when moving they are not hidden just like in RTW and MTW.

that's unfortunate, it's hard to set up ambushes i'm guessing? On the other hand :
really? different hide anims? thats a nice touch (and it helps explain the 11gb along with the thousands of textures and models, lol)

    okay... how about this:
    1) at what distance can hidden units be seen? is it close enough to pull off an effective ambush/charge? I think it was in R:TW where hiding the troops hardly helped.... tactically that is...

    2) do troops charging out of hiding seem to have any advantage in no. of kills or in causing a rout? (i know u probably can't answer this, but, maybe if u kinda' percieve it to be so?)

    thanks...
