Default Ladders and siege towers unusable!

    Game version: 0.50
Situation: Siege of Milan with English army
What is happening: When I try to end siege by assaulting the walls my ladders and towers are of no use to me because there is big gap between them and the wall :hmmm: . Men that suppose to climb them just sit there and do nothing (luckily no fire from wall towers or there would bee bloodshed).
    These are pictures:

I apologize if you solved this in new 0.51 patch, but I don’t want to install it just yet because my campaign is going very well (year 1088 and not a single CTD ).

thank you very very very much for providing those screens. a couple of other people mentioned the problem, but I had no clue why because everything worked fine in my build. The real problem is that settlement desing where the town in on top of the hill was not made to have those sized walls, but I had no idea that it had the ability to build them. so once again, thank you.

BTW, that problem is not adressed in the .51 patch.

have you changed the shortcut path so it runs off BI?
i started to make it run off BI.exe but pc rebooted and i forgot bout it and realised what i did
after i reinstalled it. i played with the mistake and it worked fine except for the problem your having.

    this is from readme:
    1. Cut or copy the whole installed chivalry folder.
    2. Paiste it i n t o the bi folder.
2a. Remark: Notice that the Chivalry barbarian_invasion campaign folder won't go into the bi folder. It is actually the Chivalry imperial_campaign folder, that goes into the bi folder, as bi owns already a barbarian_invasion campaign folder.
    3. Change the path of the Chiv Game Start Shortcut as following:

what i did was changed the shortcut path and pc restarted so left it off overnight and forgot so i didnt copy the folder. i think this is what causes it.
just make sure you did everything correct making chiv run on BI.exe and i think ti will be ok. mines fine now so just check and make sure.
hope this helps you understand it and am sure this is the reason

Your report above might be helpful for some users regarding using BI-exe for Chiv, but what has this to do with the above topic title and the problem that he has? As Drak already mentioned, this is a matter of the settlement plan file or also with the starting map settlement properties, what will be solved with the next planned patch/build ...

well im using rtw.exe now but i did the mistake i think hes done but now its fine.
when using the bi exe if it is done wrong when you attack a large city wall where ladders are needed the new plan is not there you still get the old town settlement. like i said i dont no if there is a link but i bet there is.
