Default Medieval 2 Has Suffered a Fatal Error and will now exit

I get this message every time I attempt to Launch M2TW and I have uninstalled deleted all folders related to such and re-installed it 3 times and with no avail. Can somebody please help me with this or give me a refund?

    1. Disc, Steam, or other?
    2. Have you ever been able to start a campaign?
    3. When you uninstalled and deleted both folders, did you also run a registry cleaner to finsh CA's uninstaller's job?
    4. Do you now or then have any mods installed?

    1.) Steam.
2.) It used to work fine back when I played it, and then I recently tried to start playing it again and this error occured.
    3.) Yes.
4.) I used to have mods installed but all have since been removed.

    2. The above should explain why it does not work now and how to get it back. If not post in the relevant forum there. CA devs don't come to this backwater unless they want something.
    3. Did this include the one in Steam and the one hidden in The Creative Assembly folder?
    4. If you have 64bit OS regedit could be needed as a last resort.
