I spend hours upon hours worrying about stuff in the future. It would ruin my whole day as I spend it thinking in fear of what lifes ahead tommorrow. It would leave me scared, silent and sullen ruining my mood. People would notice and it would damage my relationship. Also, because of the worry I would not concentrate on what I am doing and I would make dozens of mistakes. Finally, I lost my best friend, because I was worried about losing her. Ironic, huh?

Thus I am going to try my life living without worry. I know I'm not going to be able to do it, but I'm going to do my best. That does not mean I'm not going to prepare for tommorrow, but I am not going to spend my time worrying about it.

So how can one prepare for something without worrying about it? One must worry abut what will happen tomorrow to be prepared for tomorrow. Yes, there is a limit to it, but a sensible amount of worry is healthy and one can, by worrying "add a single hour to his life".

Part of my personal out look on life is to enjoy every single minute i am alive, every breath, every movement, every thought. Whilst i do worry about the future, and what may happen, i am also making sure i am enjoynig being alive, because it is ultimately all i have, and one day i will live no more.

All things in moderation i would say, it is good to be concerned about the future both personal and worldly, but that is different to worrying excessively.

Whenever one encounters a problem it is usually a good thing to take a step back and consider it, rather than acting rashly or 'overthinking' on a given matter. You have obviously been overthinking and it has made a negative impact on your life, it seams like you have made the right move with your new philosophy though and i wish you well with your new approach to life.

I think that there is a difference between healthy concern and worry here. A lot of people (certainly Evangelical Protestants) wilfully misinterpret this, taking it as more evidence that they can commit any sins they like 'tomorrow' and not be held to account for them (it's nuts, I know). Certainly we should plan for the future, but this saying of Christ's is to tell us not to despair and remember that, whatever good or bad luck we have in life, if we remain faithful to God (and unlike what Evangelicals say, you do actually have to try to remain faithful), God will remain faithful to us.

Worry is healthy concern, in the end, ZD... one is a part of the other.

Actually, a similar instance has happened to me because I worried too often. Now, I like to think of it as keeping a bit of stress on my shoulders for the future, but never worry that the stress pushing me to complete what ever happens, day after day, will cease to prevail. That way I have a driving force that prepares me for the next occurance that happens, but I do not worry that I will fail.
