New TW title set to be announced on the 24th-28th september!!!

A Victorian TW is a brilliant idea .

1) Time scale 1860 to 1900(not more than 40 years because of inaccurate uniforms)
2) Map: Global or at least Europe, America and colonies.
3) Meaningful resources.(you can't build some units/buildings without some resources)
4) More diplomatic options ( ask an ally to stop a war with another ally etc)
5)Technology similar to FoTs
6)Railway system (like fots) so units can move much faster .
7)Ironclads ships.
8)Breech loader rifles after tech research ,but starts with muskets .
9)"Goals" for some nations. Like Prussia (German unification ) , Sardinia-Piemonte (Italian unification) . Rename them when these "goals" succeed. Prussia->Germany etc.
10)Ideologies should play important role .

Yup Victoria total war would be great. American civil war Franko Prussian war.....so many good conflicts and it wouldn't be to hard to make cause Fall of the samurai set the ground work and was actually really fun.

Exactly. So many wars in a global scale (Europe, America, Colonies) in so little time . Fots shows that it can be done .

It doesn't HAVE to be Warhammer, it could still be something else, however I doubt it as there are only past TW titles I can see there, and, well, Warhammer.

Another point, would they really announce something as small as an expansion at the EGX show? Surely they would announce something more major like a completely new era Title, not an expansion. They are going to want to reach new people of a new Title, not `old` people of an existing rocky title. That's the way I see it.

I'm quite in agreence with Huberto here, all signs point to a Standalone expansion.

The book, the timing, their release schedule, all of it. Base Shogun 2 was still getting updates after the release of FoTS, so that's what they most likely mean when they are saying "alongside Rome II".

Indeed this is a done deal.

I could see them post-Attila game taking a two year break from TW to hopefully build a new engine, while releasing Warhammer games as their effort for ~2015/2016. I guess it all depends on how much cash they can rake in from Warhammer though.

Regardless, I would like to see them debut a new TW engine in two years with a new system for much larger scale battles.

wait wait... now it all makes sense. The reason for the absence of the family tree is there were no women in Rome 2 at all since that. Remember we had some in Shogun 2 and earlier TW games.
No women no families... so is the fact we have women in Rome 2 now a sign of hope ?!

Hmm... Medieval III is interesting also Empire 2. Before Rome 2 I would have been very excited about a new title , but now I`m just sceptic and curious.I think we all want to forget about this shait that Rome 2 is and want to move towards the next title but be carefull what you wish for.
