I've just hit something bizarre in my latest game. AI Taksashila have just their starting province. The capital has the Faction Leader and a garrison in it. They have some minor settlements with troops in and their Faction Heir is out with a small, depleted force. There's some big rebel stacks near them, but not close enough to threaten the capital or Heir in a single turn.

Yet everything turns rebel every single time I move to the next turn. Any idea what's happening? I've increased the garrison in the capital and given them some money via the console, but it doesn't seem to do anything.

Also, how do I deactive the generic script?

Happened with me as well in my new campaign. Seems pretty often actually. Probably having massive trouble with unrest?
Then, as throngs of his enemies bore down upon him and one of his followers said, "They are making at thee, O King," "Who else, pray," said Antigonus, "should be their mark? But Demetrius will come to my aid." This was his hope to the last, and to the last he kept watching eagerly for his son; then a whole cloud of javelins were let fly at him and he fell.

I noticed this too in my Baktria campaign, there is a theory that the script triggers the Mauryan invasion which is represented by rebels and they wipe out Taksahila; but the scripted invasion should only trigger if a human player chooses Taksahila I believe?

I am playing as Takashila. If I destroy the bilding Mauryan rule....do I provoce a big revolt against my king?

That's what I thought, too, but actually, it takes many turns in, but you start getting prompts ever couple of turns asking you to recognize the Mauryan Emperor. You can accept or decline.

I always accept. By that time, with just 2 cities (or maybe it was 3?) I was raking in the cash and the tribute was nothing to me. Plus, protection if my neighbors decided to invade? Sure. Why not!

The "rebel" stacks are just off the screenshot, they're not close enough to reach the city or Faction Heir. So is the misfiring trigger causing it to go rebel?

They get teleported to the city, dont they?

Though still it would take 1 turn to siege the city, and it looks like it goes instant rebel.
