Whew! Thank the gods (of modding). You had me worried there for a while.

Sassanid Empire and more, you say? Like, all the way to the Northern and Southern dynasties of China and Three Kingdoms of Korea? That sort of far?

Just kidding. No mod has ever (successfully) incorporated a map that large, let alone East Asian factions into these sort of games. Aside from occasional wars with Central Asian nomads, the Chinese didn't really figure into the history of countries further west than the Tarim Basin, although they had diplomatic presence in Persia and India. Speaking of India, it would be a cool addition, though, considering the Gupta Empire (successor to the Kushan Empire) was coming to its zenith of strength and influence. The Medieval II Kingdoms mod De Bello Mundi features the Mauryan Empire of India on the far eastern side of the campaign map, which was a great addition to counteract the strength of the Seleucid and Parthian empires (plus the nomadic Saka).

The map looks gorgeous. It makes me anxious bout my first playthrough...to sack or to defend Rome? Playing as WRE would be awesome, bu those Sassanid shining cataphracts...I mean...and also the Faanks, oh my God, I think I'm starting three campaigns contemporaneously.

    Can't wait.

Thanks for keeping us informed, pictures looks really good, keep it up! Btw, I would not mind more zoomed up euro-centric map like the one in IB VGR as it would allow for more regions and factions in Europe (I would love to see especially more of those which were living beyond the Roman limes) but it is true that it is not very funny playing Sassanids when the map ends just a bit east of Ctesiphon.

Hi demagogos nicator and we thank you. Did you see the Hun pic and settlement? post number #60. We are making our way to and past Ctesiphon to Eastern India (slightly past the Indus river) and Bactria. We will keep the Sassanids on their toes

Holy Mother of God! I desperately want to play it NOW

One question if I may (sorry if it was asked and answered before...) - any of us like to change the course of history, eradicate christianity and replace it with "paganism". Attila's timeframe may be a bit too late for that, but will we be able to do it in your awesome looking mod?

Yes absolutely. It will be in the similar way that we did in IB2CB3. I'm hoping we will be able to show the many improvements soon. Much has been done

Eagerly awaiting looks like a fantastic amount of work and dedication. I liked the mention of 'shadow' civil war factions, always like those elements.

If he twist their arms they will not be able to mod, you will have to wait a bit longer.

Yes, but they are very delicate persons, so we don't risk anything that may harm them. In fact they sit on feather cushions.

Is there anything we can do to make their modding task more comfortable?
