Default Would you like to view the battlefield?

...Yes, yes I would. So many times I would love to survey the carnage of the field, only to have a hideous battle results scroll obstructing my view. If I'm lucky, I'm able to hit pause right before the battle ends, but why the added pressure? Just let me close that damn scroll and bring it back up when I'm ready to read it or exit the battle.

Anyone else like to see this feature implemented?

Definitely, it was in MTW, and it can be instructive to see what the pattern of death was.
As a teenager, I was taken to various houses and flats above takeaways in the north of England, to be beaten, tortured and raped over 100 times. I was called a “white slag” and “white ****” as they beat me.

I'm with you on that one. I've always wanted to check the carnage after the battle.

    Maybe in a patch...

I agree. Trying to glean it through the edges of the screen that haven't been covered by the outcome scroll is far too much work.

yeah, seeing the carnage afterwards can help in understanding patterns etc. and now, with added unit detail, i guess it would be easy to tell which unit fares well/not so well in different locations by seeing the dead.
    it might be already implemented?

I would like to see it. Enemies running, bloody corpses, my own men celebrating.. Wouldn't bee too hard to do, just add a possibility to remove the damn scroll.

Yeah, something like this would be sweet. I also want another feature that hides all the living units on the field... leaving an unobstructed view of the dead. I used to run my units away in rtw when I knew I was going to win heh.

I wonder, in Rome, once all enemy units are routing, you are asked whether to finish the battle immediately or to play on, isn´t that feature present in MTW II any more?
But a button to minimize the results window would be nice, I agree.

I think you can chase them in M2 too, it just isn't possible in the demo.

I agree also, most frustrating. I want to glory in all the death that I have wrought.

I have also, many times, gone to view the carnage and destruction my armies had inflicted, and only found a massive table of the results instead.

i agree on you, but its like the wanted feature "order button to march STRAIGHT forward withouth the hassle of finding that sacred spot" its an obvious easy thing to implement but they just wont do it.

This feature was certainly in MTW and STW when you had the choice of selecting the weather, or rather waiting, i think.

This would be a welcome feature. Having to pause before you're done to see it is a bit annoying.

Surveying splendid armies of magnificent warriors reduced to filthy trash littering the battlefield is one of the most strangely satisfying parts of the game and always has been since I first played STW. It's particularly pleasing to follow the history of the battle by observing the trail of dead bodies and taking note of the spots where the fighting has been the most fierce by the highest heaps of corpses.

I definitely like to be able to survey the battlefield afterwards and contemplate the utter pointlless insanity of it all.

I have always said that what TW needs at this phase is flocks of black carrion birds swirling around the corpses with wolves and other fell beasts coming out to feast as the shadows gather and night falls. Now that the game is so detailed and you can move the camera in close, it would be cool to also have some of the worst of the local peasants, some utterly scurvy knaves lurking about to loot the corpses, stripping them of their armour ...the ghouls...Terrified riderless horses racing around was often a post battle hazard too. At the Battle of Sedan there were huge herds racing about frantic from the cannon fire, trampling the fallen wounded to death...

    agreed

Although i would be happy to simply be able to get rid of the statistics and be able to zoom around the map.

Not what he means. He's talking after the battle is won...or lost and the scroll with casualities comes up, he wants to be able to minimize that and be able to zoom around the battlefield and check out the aftermath.

Every battle in the demo is a scripted battle, so I bet those features involving running down the fleeing army just isn't included. I don't think RTW historical battles had that, did it?
