Checked everything, search found nothing with that name.
You do someplace. Have you used the Search function in the top right corner of Computer to try to find it?
And no, we can't upload it. It's bigger than the file size allowed.
If you have a legal copy of Medieval II Total War and a legal copy of Windows, you will have one on your harddrive. It could all be a Permissions problem stemming form Vista and worse through 8.1.
Yes i have legal versions of both. If it was a permissions problem i would still see the folder i just wouldn't be able to touch it. I'm gonna create a folder named unit_models then use the unpacker and hopefully it will add the files to the folder.
How many files unpacked last round? With UAC enabled the count is ~26k. With it disabled over 36k and I think this is the part that does not get unpacked with the UAC enabled. Too damn many years since I fought this piece of. Read 2007. Never again.
I have UAC disabled and the count is 23k files (in my virtual folder).
Check out Gigantus's Bare Geomod, or the bottom link of my sig (I used Bare Geomod as the mods base), both should have a vanilla battle_model.db.
Neither will have unit_models though, or any other unit stuff except the EDU.
I have bare_geomod and bare_kingdoms nether had the file. This is actually what i need it for.
I could've sworn it is in there, sorry.
Is it against the rules for someone to upload the file?
Then it never fully unpacked that's where you modeldb is guaranteed. How much free disc space do you have? Default folder still maybe your worst enemy.
Yes but you can install a mod and modify theirs. I fyou relase your mod, proper credit must be given.
No mod has the vanilla files, there always changed. As for the free-space i have about 50 - 60gb and i can't for the life of me find out what the heck is wrong with my default folder. I reinstalled MTW2, i disabled UAC, i took away the rights.....nothing worked! when i took away the rights i just kept getting an error from my unpacker (guess it refused to install in my other folder).
1. Uninstall the game.
2. Delete all traces of it. any folder anyplace.
3. Run a good registry cleaner to do CA's uninstaller's job.
4. Disable the UAC.
5. Take ownership of C: drive. Very necessary.
6. Restart your computer to get the garbage out of RAM.
7. With the UAC disabled and ownership handled, logged in as Administrator many times is not enough, install the game in C:\Games. If it's Steam, install Steam there. A good way to get this part of the lawyer BS out of the game.
8. Patch it if need be.
9. http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...cking-the-Game is the best tutorial for unpacking. Anything less than 36k unpacked, let us know.
This is it. I have been battling this since the 1.2 patch was released with the unpacker and Vista with User Account Control security layer were released almost simultaneously.
