So, no matter what I do, graphics settings turned down, no shadows, etc, the campaign map is extremely low FPS. Tried lowest resolution. Tried native resolution.
I loaded up the fraps overlay to check what it was and it's saying 6-7.
I don't have a great system for gaming -- integrated Intel graphics on a 2010 i5 laptop -- but the *battles* run just fine under Shader 2, bloom & reflections on, high texture settings, max grpahics options for vegetation, grass, etc. I'll get up to 20 FPS and I'm sure I could squeeze a few more but that's sufficiently smooth for me.
So, what is it about the campaign map that's so darn taxing? I don't remember running into this issue with native, or Stainless Steel.
