    Default Politics Overhaul

    This mod expands and varies the effects from political influence.

    Instead of all factions getting the same generic effects, factions are now split into one of 4 government types:

    Monarchy
    Tribalism
    Republic
    Confederation

    The government type will determine what the effects of the various levels of political influence will do.

    eg: low influence with a monarchy will be bad for public order, though tribalism it can be a bonus.

    Further, there is no longer a 'Best' political influence level per se as different effects deal with political influence if different ways.

    eg: Too much influence and you will get negative research but higher public order.

    This mod also expands the ways in which political influence impacts, from the 4 effects of vanilla to now up to 22 different effects.

    NB: This has been made a sub mod for the purpose of reaching a larger test audience. It is designed to be played with Magnar Mod and will not be supported once the testing phase is over.

    Superb solution for what is well known as a limited framework! Well done Magnar!

    It is ironic that we have to struggle and work backwards to reach a minimum semblance to the standards of Rome I in this area.

    That's the problem with this politics system, success on the battlefield in a republic should increase your generals chances of receiving a position in government; securing a promotion by buying it is just ridiculous.
    The Players Family should fear the Republic, the Republic should punish them for declaring war against a faction they like or are allied to?
    It has no tooth or claws this Politics system.

    Something similar may be possible with the traits, so that once the character fulfills a certain criteria he gets a discount to cost of promotion.

    But we havent started our plans to overhaul the traits yet, but may consider it when we do.

    Look at the writing in the political screen next to the effect icon. You can see it in the 2 screens in the OP

    In The Senate = Republic

    For The Crown = Monarchy

    On The Council = Tribal

    Among Your Allies = Confederation
