Well, here you can share you tricks, make suggestions how to start with a faction or ask for help, if you go every time bankrupt, after a few turns
cheers
I may try a game with the Ottomans. Any tips or advice?
THanks!
Well, first of all dismiss every unit till you have a positive turnover
Then conquer as fast as you can Ragusa and Tunis. Then go for Zagreb, after that you are free to conquer what you want
After turn 64 you will be able to recruit the Janissary units, so look after them in the beginning
Make sure to send two merchants to the gold mines near Sarajevo, too, in order to net you some 1000 florins that might come in rather useful in the early game.
Have somebody tips for the HRE/Archduchy of austria? especially about the income.

Common sense is not so common.
As Iskar like to say, send a merchant to the gold mines next to Sarajevo.
But as I recall, you should have silver mine somewhere south of Vienna.
With these two or better three incomes you should be well prepared for the beginning
Hm, i found no silver in Vienna, just iron.

I have seen the silver and gold at Villach myself, my family originates from there...
"Pompeius, after having finished the war against Mithridates, when he went to call at the house of Poseidonios, the famous teacher of philosophy, forbade the lictor to knock at the door, as was the usual custom, and he, to whom both the eastern and the western world had yielded submission, ordered the fasces to be lowered before the door of science."

Yeah, but its too small, i´ll wait

There is also gold and silver near Nyitra just east of Vienna and silver in the alps along the Brenner from Innsbruck to Trient. Another nice source of income are the cloth trade of Zürich and Augsburg as well as the Sulphur mines of Spalato and Napoli. Spices and Silk in Tuscany, Lombardy and Liguria might add a little bit extra.

I can heartily recommend the Italian Wars mod by Aneirin.
In exile, but still under the patronage of the impeccable Aikanár, alongside Aneirin. Humble patron of Cyclops, Frunk and Abdülmecid I.
Yes, the HRE is one of the tougher factions in Italian Wars.
Well, at the beginning I'd recommend using the Emperor conquering the cities of southern Germany, like Landshut, München, Salzburg, Passau.
Use your merchants as mentioned above and send them to valuable resources. That will provide you a decent revenue.
If you need advice on any specific event, just let me know

Aneirin
Should I attack The Swiss Confederation when the event of demanding them taxes appears??
It s better to control the southern regions of the empire rather than the northern cities, isn´t it?
Thank you soooo much!!!!
Well, that depends on your current income. You see, war is quite expensive. Though you have the Swabian League on your side it will be take quite some time to deal with the Swiss.
I am not entirely sure, which cities do you mean by southern regions?
Could you give me an example?
A GREAT mod, getting immersed into it! About the Swiss Wars (HRE,Swabia and Swiss Union),is it possible to alter the campaign script and make Frundsberg army appear a few turns later? Playing as HRE I had to return to save game of turn 23 after having accepted the choice of war,but in new turn 24 no army appeared on map. I'd like to get Frundsberg and keep the current progress as well,I eagerly await for your suggestions.
Hello,
For Those interested in the factions and where do they start (Version 4.1, being the stable one of course) I've made this video for the community and fans of the pike and shot eras.
The reason behind this is that there is not too many out there,
and personally i believe that before getting into the mod is good to know what to expect and have a general view of the situation.
I really expect that you find the video useful.
And definitely i want to congratulate the mod team for creating such a singular modification.
Kudos!
This is an awesome video, Thank you had not noticed it before
