Running M2TW on AMD Athlon XP?

Hello, this is my first post in the Basement. When I installed the demo last week I was surprised my computer couldn't run it. Here are my specs:

AMD Athlon XP 2200+
MS Windows XP SP2
1800 MgHz processor
1 GB RAM
Radeon 9800 Pro 128 (omega 3.8.252)

Could it be that my CPU won't support SSE2 or whatever it's called? I saw someone write he was able to get the demo working in another thread. How did he dod this? Can anyone help me? Thanks in advance.

That doesen't support SSE2, so the old demo won't work. However, they released a new "gold demo" couple of days ago, and it should work. Don't really know how well it will work, since your cpu isn't that powerful. But try it out.

I have a 2400+, and it worked quite well, no lag with quite high visuals and 1240x1024. (Recommended settings+higher resolution).

The only thing you can't do is multiplayer apparently, M2TW needs SSE2 for multiplayer. I really hope they fix it in a patch, but I have my doubts...

The Gold demo should run.

My system:
AMD Athlon XP 3000+
MS Windows XP SP2
768 MB RAM
Radeon 9600 Pro.

In other words: almost the same as you have only my CPU is faster while my graphics card is slower. (and I have a little less RAM).

I'm not getting great performance, but it's playable.
