Problem with M2TW
I am a steam user, and I have a problem. Alright, so heres the thing: I downloaded TATW without any problems, and I decided to get MOS too. I was following the instructions to install the MOS submod for TATW, which is a mod for M2TW. I did all the instructions on the first step up to the 4th picture (link to page: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...ctures-%21-%29). I clicked on Users, checked the boxes, and clicked on OK. but when I looked back and saw the arrow pointing at the Apply button, I thought I did the wrong thing. So I clicked cancel, but of course, I did it in the middle of the process. So I did it again, but instead, I got "An error occured while applying security information to: C:\Program Files (x86)\SteamA...\Medieval II Total War Failed to enumerate objects in the container. Access is denied." twice, after that, with "Unable to save permission changes on Medieval II Total War. Access is denied." When I tried pulling the game up on steam, I got "Failed to start game: (missing executable). I also cant access my Medieval II Total War folder as well. Can anybody help me with this?

Re: Problem with M2TW
Well, If you mean continuing what I was doing, it still doesnt work. If you are referring to MOS or TATW, I already installed TATW, and I was going to install MOS.

Re: Problem with M2TW
One way out of this though extreme but dealing with permissions sometimes the only way. Save this for later.
Right-click the game icon and click Run as Administrator.

Third Age one if it was made. Or one of Kingdoms campaigns.

Re: Problem with M2TW
Yes, it's been a long day. Sorry. Then we have two shots. Easy one first.
If you can get into Steam folder maybe we can do it this way.
1. Right-click the C: drive icon,
2. Click Preferences,
3. Click the Security tab,
4. Click on Administrator assuming you are logged in as Administrator,
5. Click Advanced,
5. Click the Ownership tab,
6. Click Administrator
7. Be sure the "All child files and folders" box is checked,
8. Click Okay.
There are many that Windows won't let you take ownership of because you don't own a Developers license and on those just tap the Enter key.
Let's see if this gets you over the hump without resorting to the nuclear option.

Re: Problem with M2TW
Alright, so I fixed the access problem, but now I have ANOTHER problem.
http://prntscr.com/4itxfw
I clicked the Teutonic campaign (which is the campaign I chose for TATW), but it showed that. The regular M2TW campaign works alright, but the Kingdoms campaigns have the same problem.
