Default Rough timeline of Roman Conquests

I originally did this over at the .org for EB I, but if you want to expand historically as Roman, here is the timeline- roughly, it is pretty hard to translate the complex political machinations of the time to a TW game...

Ally means Type IV, Ally/Client means it is unclear in EB terms or not covered by them.

Taras 272 BC, expelled, rebelled to Hannibal 212 BC, fell 209 BC
    Exterminated.
    Rhegion 271 BC
Massilia Ally before 1st Punic War, joined Pompei and lost independence 49 BC.
    Messana 264 BC ally
Syrakousai 264 BC opposes Rome, but changes sides in face of siege,
215 BC rebels, 212 falls, Exterminate.
Lilibeo Ceded by Carthage 241 BC
Karali Ceded by Carthage 238 BC as part of The Mercenaries’ war
Alalia Ceded by Carthage 238 BC as part of The Mercenaries’ war
    Epidamnos 228 BC
Bononia Ally? Type III? 225 BC, supported Hannibal,
Segesta 222 BC? Allied with Rome in 2nd Punic,
    destroyed by Carthaginians. 209 BC
Patavium ? Allied with Rome in 2nd Punic War.
    Medilanum 221 BC
Emporion Ally from at least 218 BC when Publius Cornelius starts his campaign
from there. Retains independence till the Civil Wars where it supported
Pompei and consequently lost independence in 45 BC.
Arse 219 BC Ally, taken by Hannibal same year, retaken 217 BC.
    Mastia 209 BC
    Gader 206 BC
    Baikor 208 BC
    Sucum-Murgi 207 BC
Oxtraca Ally 205 BC, integrated 137 BC?
    Ambrakia 189 BC Exterminated
Pella 168 BC Client Kingdom (and sacked), occupied 148 BC, Ext?
    Demetrias 148 BC Exterminated?
    Thermon Client/Ally 189 BC, province 146 BC
Chalkis Probably as Pella, occupied by 148 BC like the rest
Athens 148 BC, revolts to Pontos in 1st Mithr War and is Ext by Sulla in 86 BC
    Sparta 148 BC
Korinthos 148 BC Totally exterminated and devastated.
Carama Never taken, but under heavy Roman influence from 148 BC

Tuat Never taken, but under heavy Roman influence from 107 BC
    Numantia Exterminated famously 133 BC
    Tyde 137 BC
Viennos Wiki says 47 BC by Caivs Ivlivs,
My historical atlas says between 154 and 133 BC.
Pergamon Bequeathed to Rome 133 BC by last king Attalus III.
Byzantion 46 AD according to my historical atlas?
Sardis Part of the KD of Pergamon and thus 133 BC.
Halikarnassos Part of the KD of Pergamon and thus 133 BC.
    Bocchoris 123 BC
Tolosa Ally 118 BC, rebels 107 BC taken by Caepio 106 BC.

Rhodos 201 BC forwards slowly got closer and closer to Rome,
allied to the Second Triumvirate and sacked by Cassius in 43 BC,
full province in 73 AD according to my historical atlas.
Alexandria 80 BC bequeathed by Ptolemy Alexander as Ally, taken by Caivs Ivlivs
47 BC and again by Octavian, 30 BC and full province.

    Side 67 BC
Tarsos 67 BC, apparently Roman citizenship 66 BC?
Side Various dates given, 103 BC, 78 BC and 67 BC. It may have been taken
more than once and I would argue for the final date- which is also the
    one my Historical Atlas gives.
Ipsos Western Phrygia with Ipsos was part of Pergamon, but eastern was not
and as the western parts were sold by Rome to Pontos in 120 BC it is
easiest to say it became Roman 63 BC.

Antioch 64 BC Ally and stayed that way.
    Damascus 64- 63 BC
    Sidon 64- 63 BC

“liberated” by Caivs Ivlivs 58 BC.

    Ynys-Mon 78 AD
Attuaca 83/84 AD- 162 AD, though the north was never pacified, so whether
Attuaca as such should be included/occupied is a good question.

    Petra 105 or 106 AD

    Seleuka 115 AD
    Babylon 115 AD

That is it for the Romans, feel free to correct the dubious ones as this is compiled only with the help of Pützger’s Historischer Weltatlas, Wiki, Google and E. Christiansen. It is thus very rough, but intended to be a guide with no real detail added (you asked for it). Elaborate and correct as you wish.

Others must track other powers, though I might be able to do a Sweboz as well. That must wait.

Edited to add, notice the military Dynasts' at various points. They are very evident...

Hmmmm.... this looked better in Word, oh well...

Good guide, as you rightly pointed out exceedingly difficult to take into account complex political situation at Roma, let alone the rest of the map.
But I nevertheless try to follow a mixture of historical "fact" personal house rules and obviously adapting to AI.

Yes, but I have a job now- which is also why I quit the team- so if you want to find the new names, feel free and I will rep you for it.

Yes I remember I used this timeline for my EB1 Roman campaigns to the extent that now, playing my first EB2 campaign with Rome I restrained from invading northern Italia when my economy and military certainnly allowed it. I focused on devellopment in the meantime.

The other reason for slow expansion is to wait for AI nations, otherwise the campaign is too easy with Rome.

There are not so many governors in the beginning of the Roman campaign by the way.
