Thread: Forts & Towers

    Default Forts & Towers

Is there any way of knowing exactly how many Forts & watchtowers a faction commands at any point of time?

Counting would be the only way I know of.

    type in "toggle_fow"
Then you can count any number of different things

Not sure of why the exact count is needed for any given faction.

Well, that was a bit unhelpful...

I am making several minor changes to my files. One of them was trying to model a system where each stone fort the faction builds gives it a return of a few florins per turn.

Is there any way I can calculate how many forts are present in the factions territory at one time? I can't find any commands for this purpose nor can I find any mod which has implemented this idea earlier (& thus get the code from them).

Sorry, was just joking with ou.

"toggle_fow" really can do this for you though.
I guess you would have to do that every turn to know when the number changes, since a faction might have 10 forts on one turn and only 2 the next since forts fall down if they go one turn un-occupied.

Dominion of the Sword did something like that with permanent stone forts. Don't know if they'll give permission to use it though.

I have taken a look at DoTS's code. They're using a static system where the forts are already built; they're just checking whether a faction has an army at specific locations- that's not what I'm planning.

    PS- I'm using PSFs too.
