The mod is very very good. Congratulation for the modder's team.

But I have some problem of CTD. So, nearly each two or three turns, when I end turn or when it's the turn of other faction, I have a CTD.

There is a message box where is write nearly : Medieval II total war have encountered an unspecified error and will now exist.

Sorry for my bad english, but I am french.

Play in "windowed" mode, or set your computer monitor display to 1024x768. Let us know if either solves the problem.

I have change my screen resolution in 1024x768. After four more turns, there is no CTD.

But I have to change each time that I play EBII my resolution screen.

Thank you for the solution. If the problem comes back, I will post for it.

The alternative to changing your display every time, is to play in Windowed mode. M2TW is an 8-year old game and doesn't handle all the new display resolutions. Glad we solved the immediate problem for you!

The problem has come back after ten turns.

So, I have enable windowed mod. But ten turns later I have a new CTD. But this time something is writing :

Script: D:\TW\Medieval II Total War -EB II\Medieval II Total War\documentation\tools\demo_launcher\launcher.wsf
    Ligne: 1114
    Caract.: 4
    Erreur: Permission refusée

Are you by any chance running the game using the non-Steam shortcut on a Steam install? Several people have reported having lots of crashes which miraculously go away when they use the Steam shortcut (launcher).

Having problems getting EB2 to run? Try these solutions.

    Hi everyone,

I've been having this very same CTD since the first moment I started playing a campaign on EB II. I have a Steam version of both M2TW and Kingdoms and I think I found a solution for this. So, here's what I've done: I've deleted the .cfg file in the EBII directory and I've added all its data in the .cfg file in M2TW directory and, since then, I've had no other "end-turn CTD". I think the new medieval2.exe is simply ignoring the .cfg file in the EBII directory.

    I hope it helps!

Btw, brilliant, brilliant, brilliant mod. Seriously, amazing job!

Oh, I just forgot, you have to make the medieval2.preference.cfg file a "read only" file after the customization or it will be overwritten the next time EBII is launched.

    Oh!

I think I spoke too soon as I just had another "end-turn CTD"... it seems the solution is not here. Maybe someone will fix it some day!

    Start in: "[your directory]"

Obviously you have to swap the [your directory] with your actual path to your kingdoms.exe (or launcher.exe for steam). Do make sure the quotation marks are there as I put them. This should work.

Try the file found under "When I run the non-Steam shortcut on my non-Steam M2TW, it fails to run and I get an error saying M2TW has encountered an error and needs to close." here.

How do you set the game to windowed mode? I chaged the cgf file in the EB mod folder so that windowed = true and put it to read only, and it did nothing. I then added the same thing to the M2 preferences file in the main M2 folder. The game started in a window, but when I tried to enlarge it (it started at less then half my screen size) the game crashed and it doesnt start windowed anymore.
