    Default [SubMod] Durador: Mobs Redone DeI version



    Hello!

    This is a simple mod to give the Mobs in Rome 2 a new reskin. This version is for the DeI mod! it haves the same stats as in DeI. This mod does not have the "the whip ability" like the other version.

    My Vision:

    I was bored to see that the mobs where so simpel and i wanted to give it a bit more flavor.
    Mobs are people from the city, they all look diffrent and grab the weapon they can find / have, to fight for a last stand in defending there home. They can be Slaves, poor workers, elder citizens and ex soldiers.
    A city can provide them with some weapons and helmets. Some who have the money can buy better weapons


    This was my idea when i was making the mod.

    Done:
    The Italian mob, Egypt mob, Eastern mob, Carthage mob, Greek mob and the Roman Plebs and Iberian mob.
    New officers for the mobs.

    Update: Changed the armed citizens skin to my mob skin.

    Is this the same as the other version just with everything but the variant meshes removed?

    Yeah almost had to keep some things for the officers. But i used the stats from dei. It is still a very lite mod to just change the look for the mobs and there officer.

    i think that too, to good to be left out in the main mod :-) really nice work...

    just my humble suggestion if it is possible: female faces in these units to represent the whole mob from one town ( i know the voices would stay manly) and some colour variations like DeI did....but it`s just my opinion :-)

    Great job with the unit variation! +rep

    I might suggest adding some variation to the Roman mob in unit_variants_colours so that they can have white tunics and linen colored tunics (and keep the red for primary_colour). So the entry would be like:

    Primary Color: 115, 13, 4 (red)

    Secondary Color: 253, 242, 214 (linen)

    Tertiary Color: 255, 255, 250 (off-white)

    Just a suggestion. The mob most likely wouldn't have been wearing any red at all, but maybe some threw on an old military toga to fight!

    In theory, I thought the mobs were gone from the game. We added our own garrison units. Or are those the units you are changing?

    No I changed the mobs. They are still in DeI. I dont know for sure if they are there as garrison units (I think so). But I know for sure the rebel army's have mob units.

    Update: Changed the armed citizens skin to my mob skin.
    I have no luck with changing the colors. the unit color is changed by the faction color for now. Need some more time to figure it out

    Oh haha, you probably have to go to "unit_variants_colours", then add to an existing sub-table e.g. "Rome_unit_variants_colours".

    You'll have to add an entry for Rom_Plebs and then fill in the colors you desire .

    This mod still works with Dei and patch 16. I will not change anything of this submod for now until DEI 1.0 (if there are still mobs in the game ofc)
