Playing as Saba VH campaign / M battles / CAI 3.0 currently at turn 100.

The Boi were slaughtered quite fast at turn 61 by the Sweboz. Now they are currently sitting at 4 place in the overall faction ranking holding 9 provinces and looking strong. Seems a war with either the Romans or the Lougiones is inevitable. Speaking of the Lougiones - they are doing good too and have conquered 7 provinces for themselves.

The Areuakoi got all their leaders either assassinated or killed of by the Lusotannan at turn 91, forcing the remaining of their forces to rebel. Thus Iberia is now free to be colonized. The Lusotannan are doing fairly well, but nothing spectacular either.

In Western Europe the Gauls are waring against each other for full control over the territory, but nobody seems to be gaining the upper hand. The war is raging for at least 30 turns. Overall the Aruernoi tribe seems to be slowly winning the war. Speaking of barbarians the Pritanoi isn't doing well as they are still trying to pacify the local rebel tribes.

The Romans are doing very well so far. They have conquered Sicily from Carthage and are now invading Corsica and Sardinia. Rome slowly pushes into Barbarian territory as well so far without much of a problem. They are currently holding second position on the overall faction standings controlling 17 provinces. Also Epirus is their vassal since some turns now.

The Greeks have been slaughtering each other since the begging of the game and Macedon seems to be gaining the upper hand signing truce with KH against Epirus. KH is doing well, holding still holding all the territory that they start with and in addition conquering Corinth, Byzantion and Kyrene. Interestingly Both Macedon and KH have an common enemy - Epirus, but they do not sign an alliance.

In the steppes the Sarmatians are the might to be reckon with. They are in war with the Bosporans for at least an good 20 turns and are slowly winning the war.

In the East things are kind of stale. The Sakas are in a long war with Baktria, while she is in a alliance with the Parthians and they have no enemies and are enjoying the view(?) I guess. While the Indians are doing good and have conquered 7 provinces, they too seems kind of passive and are afraid to attack the Seleukids(with a good reason).:p As the Saba I was wating for a big a** war to break lose against them but I guess I'll have to make the first move. Both Pontus and Armenia were kind of stale too and havent been conquering much. And Pargamon havent conquered anything whatsoever but have 4.5 stacks in their territory chillin' & drinking coffie - just chattin'.:p

Egypt is doing great as well too conquering the rebel provinces around her terrotiry but as far as the war with the Seleukids going, not much progress - if ANY has been made. I know they have a lot of troops but I have no idea why are they not attacking each other?

Numidia is kicking Carthage a** thanks to the Romans as well as the Areurakois(witch were in a war with Carthage before all their leaders got assassinated/killed off). It seems like the Numidians are winning slowly the war but it's very close and the war can be turned around. Carthage also now has the option to recounqer the territories witch has lost against the Iberians.

Overall the campaign is going well and it's quite fun so far. I haven't gotten any CTD's nor problems of any technical matter and everything runs smooth and tight as heck. I do think that the east is kinda on the passive side however. Not much action is happening if ANY(in case of Pargamon) at all.

That actually looks really good progression wise! Gandhara is probably still a fluke do to their script problem in the last patch. Would be interesting to see the difference with them. Also surprising the Arevaci not the Lusotannan have united Iberia. And Epeiros taking Sicily. Sad to see Armenia gone though

    EBII 2.03a

World maps are taken every ten turns.

The most curious occurance here is the Seleukids losing Tarsus to rebels, causing their lands in Asia Minor to be cut off from the rest of their realm. Oh, and the Pahlava declared war on the Seleukids and invaded them. Also, the Carthaginians rushed for Kyrenaica, possibly due to my cutting them off at Siga. Oh, and I'm allied with them, for now.

If you're wondering why my income skyrocketed after turn 30, well, let's just say the Carthaginians are willing to part with a lot of gold in exchange for not raiding them (+1000 income per settlement with the Governed Tribe government, as long as you're not too big and at peace with the Carthaginians).

The new money script is not that bad, but not really good either, to be honest. In comparison to EB 2.02x there are a lot more AI stacks around. I have no idea about the reasons, though.

About this we can't change the hardcore limits. For example when the AI has money he builds army and not upgrade his economy.
And i has an explanation about this, according to dv901 one from the creators of the rs ii, the ca build the engine in order to player always! but always win in the end. All are programming in such way in order to player win and again and again and again. No challenge at all. ca policy maybe marketing? Be the greatest general of all times (well we made the ai stupid in order to achieve this but ok)

    Sweboz campain H/H with EB2.03c

    Turn 21

    Turn 30

    Turn 40

Every single faction is expanding and making alliances! I allied myself to the Lugiones so I could focus west on the celts but I have still yet to face any major faction because the Eleutheroi and the economy have been trouble enough.

    Loving the campain so far!

Hey, I am currently at work but I will post my SS when I will be back at home.

One question tho, why is everybody playing M/H, H/H (is AI better or???) Why not VH/VH? I mean I play this mod for the first time for Rome with difficulty VH/VH and I am doing OK (100th turn). Yep, its hard but its also fun. I like this mod even better then Stainless Steel.

Hard Campaign/Medium Battles and Hard Campaign/Hard Battles are the current recommended settings. The campaign and battle AI are being actively worked on and are balanced for those settings, so it provides more valuable feedback.

Sweboz H/H campain (sorry for my bad "Gif-making fu")

Progression from turn 10 to 110

    Current status (turn 113).

Eleutheroi disapeared from all over the place "maybe a bit too soon".
Saka Rauka, Nabatu and Massylians are in horde mode for quite some turns but I've never seen them besiege anything.
I've been at war with the Boii for a long time until I reduced their kingdom to one province and used force diplomacy to make them my vassals.
The Lugiones have been my trusted allies for long, I've offered them gifts of gold and one province to make sure they remain so.
The Aedui were supposed to be Boii allies but they never helped them against me. The relation between our factions never dropped beyond reasonable. The Getai and the Averni also share borders with me and thought there have been a Getic stack near my borders they never attacked me, only the Boii did and after I started invading their territory.

More written feedback will arrive soon.

PS: The gods have mercy on our souls, the Grey Death is back!

    PPS:
    After a few more turns:
Hording Nabatu settled on Egypt and conquered two settlements to the Ptolomoi. Since I chosed short campain I recieved the notice that "Defeat is Eminent" due to Grey Death getting closer to victory conditions. Thinking about using diplomacy to turn the Ptolomoi into a Gallic or germanic tribe

The romans appeared to be thinking about invading me, a near full stack crossed the alps getting near my borders, but sending my faction heir with a large army of angry germanic and celtic warriors made them change their mind.

The Pritanoi are starting to send their armies to mainland Europe. Since the Aedui are their allies I think I should brace myself to invasion.

Hello guys, as promised, I am going to post my progress. First of all, let me thank to all the developers of this mod, because of what I can say so far, its definitely one of the best mods I have ever played with, if not the best (I play Total war since first ROME.

I am playing VH/VH for Rome - yea, I had no idea that the best settings is H/H or w/e before I started to play. I play last version, which is .c

    General:

    1) Its really, really hard and I love that! I am getting attacked by all neighbours barbarians and its some challenge!

    2) The most annoying part were the enemy's assasins - there were like 5-10 of them in Italy and they kept sabotaging like 2-3 buildings every single turn (trade buildings which spawn assasins mostly). I didnt know what to do, I tryed to train my own assasins to get rid of them, but that didnt help much, so now i have putted spies to all my cities and its ok at the moment + i am not even repairing these buildings anymore...

    The WEST:

    1) Yes, I am at war with these guys. Their vasals are arverni (Gauls) and I have just taken Massalia so I hope I can build my defence there and continue to Spain to take their major cities. If I go north now and try to take Uiennos, the gaul 5 stacks are waiting there to attack me (not visible in this ss, sorry)!

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

    The NORTH:

    1) The Swebos or w/e is their name. They just took Patavium when I was retraining my 1st legion in Rome and had my 2nd defending army rdy on the west . I immediately attacked it with the 1st legio, but swebos came with their stacks, which wouldnt be so bad, but ing BOI SHOWED UP. I was like WTF? Then I realised that in this mod is THE HORDE STYLE, so I pulled my troops back and I wait what the BOI are going to do now. They just went to war with Swebos so maybe, they will fight with eachother (yea, like that is gonna happen). Or they might go the the west (yeees, ofcourse!!!).

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

1st legion - the pride of Rome:

    1) This general - no words, the troops themselves will never run away from battle and with this guy, they will fight like SPARTANS at Thermopylae, to the last breath.
    2) Boii, Getai, Swebos and guys from the west (Arevaci i believe) always send 2-4 stacks, which is like 7,5k men once in a while and I always beat them with this legion ^^. And I am ing proud of it, these battles are not easy, trust me.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

    Some last words:

    - I am at war with all these barbarian clans + with greece (epeiros and Kionon Helleon), but greece doesnt bother me, until they pay (a lot), I will not make peace with them + I am looking forward to their lands!
    - I love the 4 turns/year system, it just makes you love your generals and agents (except enemys assasins).
    - Yes, I am drunk and I play this on free evenings, so I am sorry for my english and excitement
    - I am sorry that I didnt use toggle_fow, but I have a problem with this cheat , I will only post what I can spy or can get through diplomacy.

If anyone will find this interesting, I will post more
