SOME of them yes. Anyway that is not what I ask. I want to know how do I become "Eastern Imperia" faction by default, that it would by me culture in the first place.

I choose to die on my feet, rather than live on my knees!
it will change religion automatically
taken from the campaign script
and DistanceCapital < 3
and PopulationOwnReligion < 30
set_event_counter ecSabaImperial 1
historic_event HE_SABA_IMPERIAL factions { f_saba, }
set_religion f_saba rel_c
so I need to have in my all provinces Eastern Imperial or only in my capital? Sorry i dont understand scripts that much :/
I choose to die on my feet, rather than live on my knees!
from what i can read it seems that all the cities who have less than 3 distance from capital (dont know how much it is on game terms) need to have less than 30% of your culture
in game terms i good guess would be the 5 or 6 closest cities to your capital
either way it will trigger sooner or later
Okay that seems logic... But when playing Saba, you have some camps near your capital, and when you capture them there is like 80% "Arid Nomadism" and it seems there is no way you can convert them "Eastern Tribal" or "Eastern Imperial" . .

it hit 27% eastern tribal stats when this message appeared
so there is hope for you ;p
When capturing a city would the foreign culture buildings built there have a negative effect on my factions culture (so should be destroyed) or do the foreign culture buildings have no impact?
i dont think you need to destroy other cultures buildings
just try to build higher levels and it should convert to your culture
Something funny is going on with cultural conversion in Massalia, which has a Hellenic Administration (third tier Epirote military government). It was 29% Hellenistic Polities, I built a Military Outposts building, which is supposed to increase the speed of conversion, only now it's gone down to 28%. I'm not sure if that's a coincidence, or the bonus is working in the wrong direction, or something else is going on.

Alright, this is silly, my Hellenistic Polities proportion has gone down again, to 27% and Eastern Imperial seems to be rising (it's gone from 9% to 11% - it started at 0% and my culture is Hellenistic Polities, so something is going wrong for it to be rising at all). Is it the military outposts building doing this?

Pontos has a reform that will allow it to change to Eastern Imperial. Not sure why Imperial culture should be spreading with your buildings though; I thought M2 religious buildings only spread your faction's religion.
As per discussion on The Org, it's a mistake. Indigenous Military Outposts shouldn't be on a western building roster, it should probably be Foreign Military Settlers. It's definitely the source of the Eastern Imperial culture, since I destroyed it the Hellenistic Polities one is going back up. However, the Eastern Imperial one hasn't fallen yet.
On a related note, Alalia has a Carthaginian culture building, the Small Trade Colony. In the description it says it doesn't increase culture (Western Mediterranean Polities), but by not destroying it, am I preventing the previous culture from falling? The only other foreign buildings are the farms and the province description.
Yes the military outposts (called eastern colonies in the EDB) raise eastern culture. The first level raises it eventually to 25%, the second eventually to 40% (and needs 20% to be built), and the third raises it eventually to 60% (and needs 40% to be built).
Glad to hear it's a mistake. I guess the Massalia one, when done properly, should provide Western Tribal culture instead, so you'd have cultural issues either way.
The Carthage trade colonies have no cultural effect per the EDB.
ETA: maybe there just won't be military colonies in Gaul. It doesn't seem to fit culturally, IMO.

Does temple have effects on culture? I mean when I conquer some Asian minor town, it has a temple for their own god, so should I destroy it or let them worship them their god?

Is it possible that the cultures of garrisons affect the rate of cultural conversion??
Sometimes I find descriptions saying "troop name - Social Type 20%."
And also, in case of Baktria, there is no way to skip building indigenous military outposts, which give eastern culture, to establish native administration, which gives Hellenistic culture right?
