    Default Anybody help!?!

Hello there. This may sound odd but how would I go about finding how many times my computer has been accessed in the last day? Thing is, I returned from work to find the door of my house ajar. I checked and nothings taken but i've gone into paranoid mode and noticed my computer was switched on at the mains (i always switch it off). So I was wondering if anybody knew anything that could be of help, and put my mind at rest...

I don't think Windows logs when it's used.

But here is something you can do:
Start -> Search -> For Files or Folders.
Then click "All files and folders".
    Leave the first options open.
Put the date when you think somebody accessed your PC under "when was it modified".
And under "More Advanced options" check "search hidden files and folders".

This gives you a list of all files modified on your computer in the specific date, so you can somewhat make out when your computer was used.
You won't be able to tell if somebody just took a look at your data, but you most likely would be able to tell if somebody installed something on your computer.

Thankyou all! I found a setting that logs access and its all fine. My level of alert has gone from 'red' to 'mauve'.
