I disagree with all of this.
The whole point of the game is the 'what if'. Just because something didnt happen doesnt mean it couldnt have happened but real life is more complicated.

Honestly, aside from admiring the eye candy of gorgeous new units, what is the point of playing EB II if not to change history? That would be boring as hell if you followed history strictly in terms of expansion and obeying historically accurate borders. Lol. If I did that as Koinon Hellenon, I would have never conquered the entire Mediterranean.

Well i can understand the idea. For example if you play x faction and you want Rome knocking on your border sooner or later without you having to make impossible expansions (Creating mighty empires of tribes, expanding with The Seleucids in Italy etc...)

Thing with changing hitstory is that it is inevitable since it's a game that it will change in some absurd and unrealistic ways. So i have to admit that the thought crossed my mind as well.

    Allow me!

Although I've already created an entire seperate thread for this topic, I suppose it doesn't hurt sharing this here: pictures of the new town and city models for various cultures!

This is awesome. What's great about ReShade is that you can customize it however you want. I often switch back and forth between "cinematic" and "colorful" settings. Now that I know it's possible to share settings, I may release an unofficial "submod" with presets.

Also, for added content, here is 'interpretive cav surfing' in EB2...

Depending on which settings you, use the hit with ReShade is almost negligible. In M2TW, the biggest bottleneck is CPU.

I'm all for this, def liked your setup with the current LP you've been doing, especially the winter battles. Patiently waiting for your next video(s) to go up ...

My performance wasn't hit too much and the campaign map is surprisingly smooth for me.

Yep, works like a dream. However, you have to disable AA (in-game or through your GPU's control panel) and use the FXAA or SMAA option in ReShade. It's a small trade-off, though.

You'll have to find out for yourself. I'm only familiar with Windows 7.
