    Default Campaign map overview

Hey guys, I've tried to place all the city names (from the demo files) on the campaign map but the end result is not 100% complete. I could have made some errors as well. To the north and south of Poland there are some regions missing and I don't know where to put Frankfurt. I suppose to the west of Magdeburg but then there is no place for Metz. Strangely enough Barcelona is not on the list of the cities. And I don't know the names of the cities that lie south of Marrakesh. If some of you could shed some light on this I would be grateful.

    See:

(I made this map so I could "plan my empire" ;-))

I got the image from http://www.g4mers.com/images/previews/shot_71_499.jpg

    EDIT:

Nodey made a more beautiful and more finalised version of this map. Use this one:

Pretty good, only couple of cities missing. Is there going to be a city in Palma? (or what is that island called..)
And was it that the city names could be changed? If so, good, that Helsinki bugs me.. =)

    palma being the baleares?

i certainly hope so. it was a possession of the kingdom or aragon and later, spain...and still spain..

though it'd be nice if they included mallorca and ibiza

Well hopefully, we will all get the map in the collectors edition, so that when we patch the game on release date, we can plan our conquests.

Thanks for the corrections and help, guys! I'll add in Thorn, Adana, Angers, Frankfurt, Metz and Bran on Monday since my dad's PC here doesn't have the necessary software. I suppose it's safe to add Budapest and Barcelona even though they are not on the Cities list. Strange...
What to do with "Bulgar"? It is in the list but there is no empty province left in the Balkan. I have decided to leave it out and use Sofia.

For the rest there are only 2 Sahara cities missing. It's pretty complete. :-)

And btw, it's 1080 AD. Black letters indicate a city controlled by a faction. Blue letters indicate a city controlled by 'rebels'.

I think I'll give the Scots a try. Hmm, what to capture first? Inverness or York? The English only have 1/3 of Britain in their power so their headstart isn't that big. *ponders*

nodey, I don't mind you using this to make your own map. I would be interested in seeing it since my version is not smooth. I even used Paint to enlarge overview map from a screenshot. If I only had Photoshop skills...

    HELSINKI!!!

    :tooth: :hmmm:
The common culture of a tribe is a sign of its inner cohesion. But tribes are vanishing from the modern world, as are all forms of traditional society. Customs, practices, festivals, rituals and beliefs have acquired a flut and half-hearted quality which reflects our nomadic and rootless existence, predicated as we are on the global air-waves.

    An thanks again Gampie.

    Edited:

Edit 2: Now with city markers.
