Is that a known M2TW issue? Since it doesn't make any sense, it's generated by the game anyway.

Selecting huge city for roman culture causes a crash in custom battles? i cannot remember how to make that scripts thing...that gives you error report

EDIT: seems to have corrected itself!! all working fine now, must have been a random crash

Hi. I have tried installing and then running EBII and i keep getting a message saying the disc is not in the computer. However the disc is and my other Med2TW mods work fine and pick up the disc.
I have a solid state HDD that just has the operating system installed and my Med2TW and Kingdoms are installed in the F Drive in the Sega parent directory (not Steam Installed). When i installed i told it to put it in F:\Program Files (x86)\SEGA\Medieval II Total War but can see no EBII files in the directory at all? Any suggestions on how i can get this working as like many others i have been eagerly awaiting this for years? thanks

Well, the game crashed after I overwrited a save file. This thing is unstable.

In the wizard, the default installation path is where your copy of M2TW is installed. Unless you know what you're doing, leave this unchanged.
the default path is hinting to steam medieval even I dont have steam medieval

Anyway where to install the mod: into the main Med II folder or into the mods subfolder?

Ive installed it in both locations but I get this error everytime whenever I use the desktop launcher or the bat file inside EB II folder

when I run it as administrator it says the bellow that cannot find the executable and I probably installed EB in the wrong folder....

I don't think you can be more vague than that...

Check the first post on what to post when reporting a ctd/bug.

    Win 7 64 bit I always get a ctd after turn 9-10.

Launcher problems - keep getting the message the "wrong disc inserted" -- well, there isn't any other disc to insert - the one inserted is the M2TW Kingdoms Gold Edition that's patched to 1.05 (and plays the vanilla M2TW game fine). What gives?

Considering you have the original version I see nothing wrong using a no cd crack.
    That's my only suggestion.

Please pardon my ignorance Alin but what does a "no cd crack" mean?

If I put no disc in, I get the "no disc" message; if I put the Kingdoms Gold disc in, I still get the "wrong disc" message?

Use the launcher fix from the main post and update afterwards the cfg file, or make the cfg file read only.

I thought that's jsut an issue with being able to manually copy or edit files saved within program files on Windows 7? I never had any other program files related issues with M2TW or anything else, and I haven't had any since switching to Windows 8. I did ahve an issue here, but that was apparently unrelated to program files.

    1. I had the "no year visible bug". I tried the updated EBII.cfg posted here and put it on read only but to no avail. Still no year, but you can see the year in the faction description window so I guess it's not that big a deal.

    2. Quick warning for steam users. Double check the default installation path. For me it was wrong. I'm guessing this only affects people who use more than one Steam library folders. I have steam installed on my D drive(hdd), but I added a second steam library folder to my C drive(ssd) for a few games that I play most or that might benefit from ssd. I have MTW2 installed on the ssd(C:/Steam/...) but the installers default path was D:/Steam/.... Luckily I noticed it in time.

Use the launcher fix from the main post and update afterwards the cfg file, or make the cfg file read only.
Confirmed it works! Downloaded the file, replaced my own and set it at read only. Got in game and, after changing the graphic settings back to the one i had before, i can see the 272 bc visible! This fix also fixed some other stuff, maybe making more stable, or its just the year?
Then, as throngs of his enemies bore down upon him and one of his followers said, "They are making at thee, O King," "Who else, pray," said Antigonus, "should be their mark? But Demetrius will come to my aid." This was his hope to the last, and to the last he kept watching eagerly for his son; then a whole cloud of javelins were let fly at him and he fell.
