    Default FPS in gold

    Hi to all!
Yesterday I dled the demo Gold, and I've noticed that the performance on better the FPS are THE SAME of the Demo SE, anyone got some improvement??? I know I have a low budget video card (7300 GS) and for example, with shader 2 with no shadows but with reflection, high texture & high unit detail I got constantly + 20 FPS in agincourt (between 20 and 30). But this is the same result of the SE.

Otumba in a bit more heavy in performance (and switching to shader 1 change nothing) dropping the FPS in some case to 16-17.

I'm not complaining about it, because M2TW is a great product and its optimization in wonderful, but I thought that the final version differs for al least 5 FPS to the SE. Anyone the same problem?

I find it a little odd really- it detects almost full settings for my system, but when it comes to getting in game, it really doesn't like those settings- particularly Otumba. I can get the other two battles to a perfectly playable state by tweaking the settings somewhat, but it still, really doesn't like Otumba- and its not like I havn't been playing bigger battles anyway, and they were on SE.

Personally I got between fifteen and twenty fps; when I toggled the settings to highest, apart from the grass setting which I left on medium, and set the resolution to 1200*1000. I am really glad I purchased a new graphics card, yesterday, as I was worried about how a sse apg system would run the game .

My specs: 3200xp, one gig of twinx xlpt memory; 2 2 2 2 5, Bliss 7800gs+ 512DDR3 mb APG, 150 gig mirror sata raid, 120g Maxtor six sata, 150g raptor sata, Creative a 2 ZS and a gigabyte 7nnxpv motherboard.

Well Im maxing mine out apart from shadows and antialialising. It runs not bad, but the sprites are appaling from a distance, even on unit detail highest, for me that is the reason for increased performance, they've sacrificed graphics for FPS...

Didn't notice any great differences in Agincourt or Pavia. And Otumba lags like hell, 8-15 fps. But there's a lot of men, many armies, water, city, nice lightning and all, so...
My cpu didn't like those huge armies, but my gpu handles it nicely enough.

I'm glad to see that I'm not the only with this strange "problem" if problem is the right term because I play it well anyway and I like it.
Maybe as 0ldboy said, the performance boost can be seen if you play on very high settings, with anisotropic filtering and anti-alaising to max.

Seeing at Byron Eastridge and nightwar pc spec it seems that we have reason, the performance boost is visible only on high-end pc with good video card

Well look at MTW2 Honestly you think it would run on older systems? ppl shouldnt expect to be able to have everything maxed out on a bleeding edge game.

with the video card I use the performance I get is better than other video games, and in medieval the minimum resolution is even 1024*768.
I'm a fan of the TW series and I think that CA make a GREAT game, I'm only trying to find why I haven't seen a boost in FPS

And another thing, with my system (that I pay only 400 €) I play without getting under 20 fps (apart Otumba) with Shaders2 and reflection, so I'm very happy about the general performance. I think that if I can afford a 7600 GT the game will runs even better.

i'll be interested to see.. i had a good play with the original demo... my system isnt massive but it has a little grunt. it could handle most stuff turned on and would only lag when zoomed into large groups of men, so i'd turn down the unit detail a notch and it would run fine...

i am on an amd 64 3400 thats about 2 years old i have 2 gb ram... but my graphics card is average (geforce 5700) as audio, not gaming is my priority.

The performance difference is like night and day. On the old demo I had to turn everything pretty much to low. Now I have everything on medium-high and it runs so smooth.

That is strange, some of us didn't noticed... but the bigger part yes... maybe depends on the settings

I run about 15-25 fps at Agincourt with an AMD64 3000+, 1gig of Ram and a Gforce 6600. This is with most settings on max but: Filtering on trilinear, no reflections, unit detail high, no shadows.

I wonder how this will be when I put the unit scale up in the real game....
