How to adjust vanilla tables while keeping your mod patch-friendly?
Hey,
I would like to remove and replace some buildings and units of current factions. Right now I've always done this by adjusting the entire vanilla tables. This does mean however that I basically have to rebuild the entire mod after each official CA patch. Isn't their an easier way where I don't have to mess with the entire tables?

I do that when ADDING things. But if I remove something, a fragmented table won't work right?

Depends on tables. If tables that use unique id you can replace new entries with the unique id that have been deleted. However, if large patch came out and found that you mod not working, quickest way is to rename all the table to see if it works. If it does then it's easy, rename back the tables to vanilla names one by one until you find which table needs to be updated.
