Problem Trying to Install the Gold Demo

I tried to install the demo, but when I clicked on the install icon, it said that microsoft had encountered a problem and would close.

Keep in mind, this is after I've downloaded it, I'm just trying to install it.

Are you sure its the gold demo and not the old one?

That message came up with the old demo if you didn't have SSE2

I'm pretty sure it's the new one, since I downloaded it from the link in that topic.

EDIT: And plus, I WAS able to play the old version of the demo...

I have the same problem and posted in the thread with the links. I could also play the other demo. Did you download from this link out of interest?

No, I downloaded from that German site. I'm trying to download from that link now to see if there is any difference.
I was thinking, is it possible that I have SSE2, and no SSE, causing the new demo not to work? Or if I have SSE2, then I automatically have SSE?
If I don't have SSE, then will the full game not work?

I got the file from the torrent link and have given it to over 200 people so far from my servers and far more then that on the torrent and no one has posted issues on the torrent site that I have seen and I tested the version myself on my system and had another do the same from my server copy and they all work fine. Sorry to hear about the problems.
