    Default Will Sacrifice six sheep!

Now that you've come wondering what I am talking about, I have reached another issue in my never ending quest to fix my computer

I'll be quick, cause I have to leave, but I cant get past the screen that lets you ENTER the bios, and I cant enter it either.

I'm just thinking of taking out the battery, and trying to reset the CMOS. But, it was random, one day it worked, now I cant get past the bios entrance screen... wtf mate....

six sheep shall be sacrificed in honour of who helps me

you can reset the bios by using the reset jumper (this will save you from having to reset the clock) for most modern systems its the only jumper on the board, but I would consult your mobo manual anyways. you just take the jumper (while the system is powered OFF) and put it from normal to reset, leave it for 5-10 sec and put it back, your bios will now be set to its defaults. If that doesnt fix the problem it sounds like your RAM may have up and died on you, which if you have multiple sticks you can just try pulling one of them out or something. But that behaviour reminds me of what my new system was doing before I RMAd the faulty RAM.

You could change the battery of your motherboard... maybe ^^. but if your problems are random... your ram could be damage , or the power supply

Nb : sorry for my bad english :tooth:

    Try disconnecting some components.

I have a similar problem when all my harddisks and DVD/CD burners are connected.
Sometimes it boots fine, next time it halt during boot.
Disconnecting my secondary harddisk and my old CD burner solved this problem for me.

Uhg, I pray to god it's not the RAM... it would be a waste to buy another GB of it... especially considering DDR2 and how I expect to upgrade in a year or so. Hmm, i'll reset the CMOS, and try everything else that has been reccomended. Hopefully I can get an answer by tomorrow.

Hmm, that's odd, it started working last night, without me tweaking it, odd.

Thanks for the advice though guys
