EB II Multiplayer | Main thread

Hello!

I wuold like to play online on EB2! I don't have a fast internet connection and for what I got from the instraction I need to install medieval 2 (with steam, so means buy it via Steam right?) than install EB2 on this copy!
Am I right?

you can get a free steam copy of your disk medieval if you have the CD key. We advise you to keep both medieval versions and have EB2 installed on both for the reasons Ive mentioned in OP.

I got online and played an MP game. A couple questions:

1) If I disable the arrows in the ground feature, will I still be compatible with somebody else who hasn't done that?

2) Is there any way to highlight all the troops on the battlefield? The way I always do it (clicking on the faction logo) didn't work.

This game seems like it has some real MP potential, but, IMO these two things are stopping it from realizing that potential.

is the vegetation mod required to play? I guess it takes up more resources than the standard veg and my computer will start lagging if I get more than 2 full armies fighting on large unit size
