Divide et Impera better sit 1st of player's choice and best overhaul mod or I will believe the Rome II mod awards is a farce!![]()
I have a suspicion CA don't seem to like DEI? Is it true no one from DEI was invited to the MOD forum?
Hopefully voters will reflect DEI's popularity? DEI seems the most popular MOD on TWC.
Divide et Impera in its current form actually isn't that old - I think it's a continuation of Selea's original mod, Ars Gratia Artis.
DeI started fairly soon after release but yes it was when AGA (battle mod) combined with Meneros, Epam, Xilo and I (our mods). And then it took off fairly fast after that.
About the Mod summit, I wish I could have gone but I simply didn't have the resources or time for an international flight on a weekday sadly.
What Mod forum?
The one CA organized in March at their HQ. About 10 modders were invited Radious, Noif etc, I remember at the time someone saying that it was strange no one from DEI was going although that was the most popular mod.
CA called it a "summit"

That wasn't invitation basis, but on basis of which modders could attend. No one from DeI could attend as we live quite far away, I guess.
I think mods like radius are much more popular then DeI so I think that it'll go as players choice. Rise of Christianity is a candidate for best overhaul along with DeI, but best innovation is DeI. There is no other mod with reforms and global AOR...
I don't know where the figures are? It shouldn't be steam because Dresden has said many/most(?) DEI users don't use the steam workshop to get the game.
I know whenever I look on the number of users browsing the TWC hosted modifications forums, the DEI forum always has the most people on.
Guys, while the appreciation is well, appreciated. But to think of it, is the award really important?
I voted for EB2 in the Legacy mod section, atm I have taken a break from RTW2 and it's mods so I didn't vote for any of them but I have used DeI in the past and expect that it will do quite well in the voting.
I cannot force you to believe the truth but i can allow you to believe a lie. Quote by me " Icenii " In the game of Life Death always wins. Patience is a Virtue that takes time to acquire. The Answer is "7". No 1 wins all the time except God and he cheats.
CA are choosing the best Overhaul category, and others, "by a panel of Judges."
I expect CA "judges" are likely to favour the modders which they may have met personally in March?
Let's not speculate on something that has not happened. Also, please refrain from making this another one of those threads in the R2 discussion forums.

Thanks for your appreciation, guys. But there are a few pointers. There is no evidence of any grudge against this mod. Please let us not accommodate discussions against CA based on pure speculation. If you'd like to recommend the mod, please PM Joey as instructed in the thread. Lastly, I need to get this warning mentioned here to ensure the DLC scene is not repeated.
A general warning, keep this thread on topic which is about the award and the mod. Complaining about the game, speculative theories or complaints against CA, and other off-topic posts do not belong here.
I for one have definitely voted for DeI in every category *except for legacy, that has to go to Europa Barbarorum*
CA just posted on their official Facebook page:
"MODS! While not meant to sway your voting in the current mod awards nominations, James over at Extra Credits has done a video on Divide Et Impera for Rome II:
http://youtu.be/AiyS5ogYXZw "
Very surprised at this publicity!
Good for us!
