Bataroas vs Boatroas
What's the difference, linguistically, between the two words? Obviously, one unit is the Nothern Gallic Swordsman and the other is the Southern Gallic Swordsman, but seeing as one can recruit SGS in Britain, which is north of Gaul where one recruits NGS, I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that the translations aren't completely literal. Does the shirt+helmet of the NGS warrant the change, or is it some other variance in dialect or something? Would the Celts of the time have differentiated between the two, or is it an engine limitation that they weren't molded into one single unit? I'd just like to hear an explanation from someone more informed than me on two of my favorite units.

Re: Bataroas vs Boatroas
Evidently no-one knows the answer
I'm not claiming to know either... But who would've guessed the boat-rowers would be damned fine swordsmen? I guess it's the Celtic longsword, that thing is lethal for a one-handed weapon...
