Yes
Partly
I don't mind
No
I read 'Do you miss the hot-seat campaign' as 'Are you upset that it is gone'. If you are uninterested in MP - and so don't miss it - then you vote no.
The only real way things can be totally unbiased is if it's yes or no (or the five stars that they had on a lot of questions) then you can accurately asses the community's opinion on a scale. When there are several similar answers it's hard to be unbiased. I was unsure what answer to give on a few of the questions since the answers were almost the same, so I just guessed 50/50. That'll split people.
Look at question 5 again:
5*Do you mind that TW:Rome 2 or other TW games are only available via Steam?
- Yes, I mind that TW is only available via Steam
- I don't care
- No, I don't mind that
The question there really is 'Does steam negatively effect you?' If you have no opinion then it doesn't and I think people would be split between don't care and no, I don't mind (Don't care and don't mind are the exact same thing) So if the result was this...
- Yes - 50%
- Don't care - 25%
- Don't mind - 25%
If the result said that then what would be your impression of the community's opinion? You would say that the overwhelming majority of the community dislike steam, that's not true, only half of them would.
I thought the survey as a whole was quite nice, my only quibble is I would have gone without some of the ancillary comments on many questions, just leave it to the question itself. Very thorough though, and the questions as a whole were nicely thought out and organized.
Survey was a little long, and IMO the formatting was a bit poor. Personally it could have been organized better.

I had a discussion with the moderators to clear up what exactly the cause was on the thread closing was and why there was no clear reasoning behind it. The thread has been updated here with moderator explanation- http://forums.totalwar.com/showthrea...nd-games/page4

So this is the excuse posted by Daelin4, "Since the OP has claimed that he has made this thread on behalf of a banned user, that is considered tantamount to trying to evade a ban. For that this thread will be closed."
lol, really? That's it? you closed a thread and removed the survey for that? lol, It makes a mockery of CA and your forums tbh. I wont be buying any of your DLC or any new TW games. Your loss in the long run.
I cant see the problem in a user creating a survey simply to gather information regarding a game with a hope of bringing about positive change.

This is my original review for Rome II, posted in October 2013.
Rome II: Totally Casual.
Streamlined features, zero diplomacy, no family tree, lack of character progression, magical transports, complete lack of battle, siege and campaign AI, blob style fighting formations, 3minute battles, magical fire burning torches, zero seasons, 1 turn per year, awful performance on high end systems, monotonous and incredibly tedious campaign,
A year later, sadly, not much has changed.
Is it your impression that the TW community does not want this survey on the official forum? Because our impression is that CA doesn't want it there.
Respectfully, why don't you do your job and step into this matter and fix it on behalf of the TW community? Your inaction is not helping repair CA's troubled relationship with its fan base.
I just had a look at their explanation and I am disgusted with their reasons. They are seeing fault where they want to see fault and doing everything they can to make it look bad when the questionnaire was very fair. No survey is perfect, but it certainly wasn't bias to this or that way. It was being truthful and trying to find what the fans and users of TW wanted. The fact that the maker was banned has nothing to do with it, I myself had no idea he was banned either. Heck, Craig even invited me back to the forums a couple of years ago when I said was wrongly banned. Glad I declined.
I believe the truth is, it asks questions they have no wish to have to answer and that's where as far as they're concerned, the poll is wrong.
But then again, if I put my tinfoil hat on, all this was going to happen if you look at their character when dealing with honest issues they don't want aired on that forum. They know their game has issues and they don't want to hear it.
The internet, utube, etc, has a looong memory, CA, remember that.
A french friend on "mundus bellicus" (a french forum) have found a solution with daelin4 and Nico CA on the official forum. He will create a new topic very soon.
I suppose it is the new thread from my friend
