Some AOR units missing

After a SP campaign and a MP campaign with a friend I have noticed that some AOR units that are listed on the AOR map (which you can find somewhere on the dei page) are missing. The ones iv noticed are greek levies in macedon along with some Thracian units in Thrace and quite a few units throughout Italy. Am I wrong about this or have other people noticed too?

Some units require tier 3 buildings. Check honga.net for more details (it's the Royal Academy link in the forum map tab)

Ill check but I doubt units like greek levies and pontic levies should require tier 3 military buildings

Pontic levies are recruitable through the tier 1 city building in my current Macedon campaign. I get them along with Pontic archers in Bithynia et Pontus. I also can get Thracian peltasts throughout Thrace.

Just checked and some of the units I was wondering about do indeed require higher level buildings, but there are still some I should be able to get but cant.

What other mods are you using? Do you use DeI from Steam or from TWC? Also, what version of DeI do you use?

most recent version of DEI. GEM, Aztec lighting, rome 1 music, official English names for dei. Ill mess around with some things tomorrow and report back.

Some of the AOR units (namely the greek ones) seem to indeed be unavailable if the target faction did not previously have a reform, so if you basically slaughtered them too early on it seems like it would not unlock (happened to me, to my great frustration, I wanted those Thorax Spartan Hoplites).

well its not that. I have a game as Macedon, and a game as Pontus and I can recruit some of the units in my home territories.

Yeah but if the nation in question did not reach a specific reform you won't be able to get them.

I doubt I need a reform to get Greek or Pontic levies

You don't need one, THEY need one. I can't recruit the Spartan Hoplites because the Spartans themselves did not reach the reform, at least thats what the game says...

There should be a global greek reform, though.

Some units won't be available to you if they are duplicate units from your own faction's home region also.

Well, the Spartan Thorax Hoplites are not available yet I am at level 6 imperium and at turn 180... Which means they should be available right?

There might be some confusion. It might also be on my side. What I am saying is when I start a game as pontus I cannot recruit pontic levies. It isn't an option. Yet Bithynia can. When I start a game as Macedon there is no option to recruit greek levies. I can only get AOR Thracian Peltasts and AOR agrianian axemen. Same goes for Egypt and Egyptian levies. Since so many units are "missing" it could very well be a problem with my understanding of the system and not the mod itself, but I do not think this is the case.

Do you mean the greek colonist levies (AOR) or the Greek Drafted hoplites?If it is the greek colonist levies then it is normal as a unit that is based in a specific region should not have the Auxiliary units of that region, as far as I know. If you mean the greek drafted hoplites then they should be in your unit roster.

I removed the Levy units that are duplicated in the home region by the owning faction. For example, if the Iceni have Slingers that they can recruit immediately in their home region, then I removed their ability to recruit the AOR British slingers. This is because their own slingers are better and at the same cost. Many people were complaining about duplicate units.

The Sparta hoplites might require a tier 3 or even 4 building, I would have to check.
