Default DEI featured on Extra Credits

Extra credits is a popular youtube channel with over 300k subscribers that primarily focuses on in depth game industry/mechanics discussion. One of the series they have on there is called "James Recommends" which is a pretty low key unedited ramble from James (the lead writer and professional game dev I believe) on a game that might have flown under the radar and has interesting aspects associated with them.

Good to see this mod getting some of the recognition it deserves.

Cool! Of course, he doesn't even mention half the stuff DeI adds (I guess he's only got a few minutes to make the video though).

Also, it's interesting that he mentions how just the change of 1 turn per year to 4 gives that "dynastic" feel to the game. Just because your generals live longer, you can invest in them and develop them more. A small change makes all the difference in that case.

True, i wonder which version he's reviewing?

In his defense, I've been playing DEI for a while and still finding new things out about it all the time.

I think the videos of the game he's using are The Dude's Let's Plays from a while back: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cf4_OUNpdBE

But he talks about governors instead of dignitaries, and that's a pretty recent change in DeI, so I think he's playing a recent version.

Icon10 Divide et Impera video spotlighted in Extra Credits

Just thought it would be nice to let you guys know Extra Credits made a video about the MOD. I love these guys' channel and was quite surprised to see them talking about the mod. Here is the link :https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AiyS5ogYXZw Also, consider watching/supporting the channel, their content is really good (it's all about game design and game impact, but it is quite interesting, even if your not a developer) ;D
