Trained to resist fatigue, and with superior morale born of their station, Scythian Noblewomen can outlast most combatants in a long fight.
so CA, based on this description, fatigue resistant is finally working or is this just a description that has nothing to do with how game works, as always?

LOL, uh..... really? Thanks for the free stuff CA, but your game is a shell depth and strategy wise, it's boring -unless you like flashy animations- and naval battles still do not function properly.

Shogun 2, no thanks I will stick with Kingdoms SS.

Thanks for the free units CA, however, due to the remaining issues, poorly implemented civil war and stripped out features, battle issues and complete lack of battle tactics I'd have preferred another patch. That being said I think I'll keep hold of my £1.99, you wont be getting anymore out of me.
This is my original review for Rome II, posted in October 2013.

    Rome II: Totally Casual.

Streamlined features, zero diplomacy, no family tree, lack of character progression, magical transports, complete lack of battle, siege and campaign AI, blob style fighting formations, 3minute battles, magical fire burning torches, zero seasons, 1 turn per year, awful performance on high end systems, monotonous and incredibly tedious campaign,

A year later, sadly, not much has changed.

So...is this some sort of callback to the Amazons and Themiskyras from Rome 1? Maybe it would've been better to just leave it as a "bonus" settlement at the most northern part of the map?

I'm not sure what to say. If something like this can be released, then maybe the next DLC's theme should be units from the other Total War games found in their respective regions. More nostalgia factor. Or maybe not.

thats what i don't get... screeching women were an anecdote of Rome 1, an example of what they should never do again... and they did it, and this time they brought also reinforcements... are they even reading posts here? it almost sounds like they consider sarcastic posts made by some people as a good idea for DLC or something... yet, major "features" (or we should probably just call them BUGs already) of this game that was released almost a year ago are still broken the same way they were when this game was released... and if somebody wants to accuse me of trolling, then i dare you, play a naval battle with 20 ships per side and tell everybody if its fun...

What happened to the team that was working on Shogun II? Where are those people...
They are..... ........ but now we got women units, cheer up! It's a bland arcade game now!

CA- making new strides milking the anti strategy demographic!

rofl. First it was bee catapults, now warrior women. CA doesn't take itself seriously, neither should we. What a joke company.

Meh, free units are nice to those still playing. Can't fault that. I don't really care anymore about the DLC though, or the entire game for that matter.

    Meanwhile at EB... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S2vuJrECi3o#t=147

Haha they're practically trolling CA releasing this stuff. Releasing EB2 exactly 1 year after Rome 2 would be just perfect.
Remember, remember, the third of september, the Rome II treason and plot. I know of no reason why pre-order treason should ever be forgot.

Great! This is an amazing improvement to the game! Starting a new game now, this was the only thing missing from Total Joke: Rome 2. Can't wait for the next DLC, Hopefully something like fairies and goblin invasion, throw some orcs in it too! Who ever though of this DLC deserves double... no... TRIPLE their wage! Clearly they had to spend weeks thinking of this amazing concept. Time well spend.

that is exactly what i consider as the biggest loss... the time spent on making these things... they could have worked on something more meaningful...

^This, CA has spent their time making nonsense like this when the base game is bare.

    OK.

It's time for someone who *likes* this DLC to step forward and explain why, without recourse to rhetorical verbiage like

    • It pisses off the haters
    • If they offered actual game features as DLC it would just look like cut content
    • Women gladiators/warriors/mounted archers/whatever units existed
    • You don't have to buy it
    • I buy everything to support SEGA/CA
    • It's just a game

Obviously I am baffled by this sort of content. But I'd like to understand where people with totally different views than mine are coming from. Is it the fantasy appeal -- let's pretend battles were decided by screeching women? Are you looking forward to Warhammer for this reason? Do units like this have some sort of relevance to MP? Is it all just to have a big laugh, joke DLC?

    I'm genuinely interested.

You can create your own 3D Models, if you got the skills you can create all you want no need to wait for CA to make a unit DLC that adds a few new models to the game. But you properly cant then i say learn its not that hard and safe you money and CA can make some real changes to the game. Because all those unit DLCs dont really add to to game if you ask me.

I Hope CA now finally make the last two DLCs worth my money with some real game changing elements. Or i dont really see any hope for RTW II.
