So, because complete authenticity is impossible, we should just accept complete fantasy?

I mean, why not add orcs and elves to the game as others have mentioned? I mean, if the history didn't matter, the game shouldn't be marketed as authentic, and CA should just stop pretending. They can just go crazy and add whatever they want. Think about how interesting it would be to have Romans fight samurai? Oh, right. That's CA's next game.

To be fair here, in some ways CA tried to be more authentic with Rome 2 than any previous title with the sheer number of factions and groups represented. Which makes some of the fantasy DLC they have released even more puzzling. At the same time they have streamlined this series, they decided to worry about adding in 100+ factions to represent tribes that most people have never heard of.

Thank you CA for the free Content, I don't believe I'll be purchasing the Daughters of Mars DLC but thank you for the free units for some of the factions anyways.

Funny, the Free LC actually looks way more interesting than the paid DLC does. I've been wanting Amazons/female steppe warriors for ages now. Thanks CA!I was afraid that CA was going to listen to the masses and sooner or later give the Suebi a roster update. My fears were mostly in the regard that people wanted the Suebi to play like BI - era Germans full of armor and iron weapons but I'm happy that CA found a way to expand their roster without overdoing it. I'm on the wall concerning buying Daughters of Mars though...there's nothing there that really interests me and while the Germanic and Kushite female units sound cool, female gladiator units simply take the fantasy aspects a little too far.

We already looked at that, but there are issues. It would have to be completely Woman Unit (bodyguards aswell), since engine limitations would be in voices (unit cant have female and men voice). Campaign model, general unit - all possible, but cant be mixed men/female in a unit without issues.

Actually its does make sense that way .... unless you want to make harem unit

its not that hard actually... i would have much longer internal struggle even touching those units than actually integrate them in mod...

I find the female units somewhat ridiculous. At least nobody can now use the falming pigs argument, in favour of Rome II.:p

I hoped this was a joke, but unfortunately it isn't.

I won't even rage now. I am just laughing hard at the sheer hilarity and incompetence of CA to make this game more playable. Most sensible points about how these kind of unit packs are farcial have been made already. Glad I uninstalled Rome II already.

By the way, if CA was going to make a fantasy game in the first place with 21st century feminist view of proffessional female soldiers (which didn't exist until 1915, and only came into full view with WW2), especially the ridiculous Gladiatrices or whatever they are, they should've stated that during September 3 in the first place that they are making a fantasy game. There was zero need to decieve the customers.

My reaction to this, no reform on the political side of things but here you go, more free lc and paid dlc

CA i will pay you £30 for a decent expansion pack which includes the entire map, something like what FOTS was for Shogun 2. It added so many new features but no you keep releasing all these small unit packs for which we have no need !

Its like a there's a man dying and your offering him a cigarette, get your priorities straight guys.

And i also expect you to release a good political system with a family tree (as many of us do) as free dlc !


Now you either admit that you cant sort the politics system out and hire someone good to fix it or pass the total war license to another company who can make total war great as it was before

You really hit the nail on the head with patch 14 and solved a major problem with the games siege AI and for that i give you credit but you really have to fix the other problems aswell !

Forgive me if im being blunt and i ask the other members of this forum to correct me if you feel im being unreasonable or unjust in anyway !
