    Default Slaves disappear

I have been using the sell slaves decree, which initially raised a great deal of money. However, within a few turns, all the slaves in the provinces where I used the decree was gone, and so was a substantial part of the provincial income. In Italia, for example, the slave percentage of income went down from 39 percent to zero in just a few turns.

This seems to contradict the description of the edict, which says it stops the reduction in slave population. Instead, it greatly increases the reduction in slave population. I sthis intended, or a bug?

I believe that is intended. The description just need to be changed to reflect it. But the effect is correct. You sell slaves and therefore the population of slaves and your income decrease for each turn

Why do you think it says SELL slaves edict?

You increase your income for some turns by selling your slaves, and if you sell something, you have less of it after the selling process.

The effect of the edict works as intended in my opinion.

Yes it works, the text is just wrong for the effect.

I will be changing this in 1.0 to be a slower sell off and a lower income boost so it isn't as drastic.

Thank you for clarifying it, Dresden. I appreciate your willingness to answer questions, and that you provide quick answers.
I think the changes you plan will improve the situation.

True that its a bit too fast to sell slaves, you can overcome a very bad choice (enslaving 1000+ slaves in one epic battle) in a few turns.
