Access to the Americas

Will one be able to travel East to the Western Coast of South America? That might make it more accessible for factions on the East of Africa, assuming the playing map allows access to Indian/Pacific Oceans. Mind you, if my geography still serves me correct, its probably still faster to go through the mediterranian; however, that means more hostile waters too.

Factions like the Turks can just conquer all the way to the eastern side of north Africa and launch from there I guess. It shouldn't be too big a deal. And it shouldn't matter if another faction gets to America first. You can always take the land off them.

ill be playing as russia, and it really interests me how will i lunch the invasion on americas.
I will probably lunch 1 large fleet with strong army and start from there. 1st take care of any europian intruders, and then aztecs... :tooth:

Only about four or five small territories in around Central America.

By looking at the map, only the eastern half of the Western hemisphere is present. You will have to sail west as the Americas are on the western edge of the map. Russia cannot sail east as Siberia is not part of the map, nor is Japan, or India or Asia for that matter.

Would be good, could include the incas (right time frame?) and maybe some other smaller tribes.

Or the smaller tribes could be one faction and you could choose to ally with them in hope of overthrowing the Aztec Tyrants or you could go to war with them, gaining extra lands.



Or it could be made into a provincial campaign...... The possiblitys are endless

I think it's too far south for them. I don't know though. Bear in mind that this is a new feature and won't be that extensive... we only have four or five territories after all.

im pretty sure its 5-6 provinces though, one in florida, one on an island, 2 in mexico, one on NE brazil, and possibly a 6th above florida a bit.

anyways, the aztecs and other indians shall have fun meeting my sicilian troops, so will the rest of the world though, for that matter.

If you take a province in The Americas will that mean the public order will be ridiculously low? Will the proximity to the capital mean anything to provinces in The Americas?

i highly doubt there is a distance to capital penalty higher than say 10%. if its as bad as rome, crusades will be 100% pointless, and your capital will have to be changed often depending on where you expand. england will be very screwed on crusades, being opposite corner of the map and all.
