Icon12 A cataphract unit fro the Seleucids from the start please... =)

Hey, if I am correct didn't Antiochos Soter have a band of Cataphracts used against Ptolemaios Philadelphos during the Syrian wars? Currently the Cataphract is a thorax reform unit, so they will become available long after the death of Antiochos Soter. Perhaps the Seleucids could get one unit of Cataphracts from the start...

    What do you think?

EDIT: By the way, how do I edit thread names, I kind of spelled for to fro and it looks stupid...

Nope, first cataphracts were backlash of Antiochus III campaign on the East, first notable battle was battle of Panium around 200BC, when cataphracts charged from the hill and literally crushed heavy Aetolian cavalry that was sent to counter their charge

Also from this point Seleucids started the trend of making their armies heavier in general

Great, then the cataphracts for the thorax reform fits perfect . Thank you for clearing that up, I was thinking about asking you before posting, but instead I took my chances...
