Totally leaving archaeology over here. I don't want to be a slave working in those hot pits.
Which is probably what most of the workers there are; underpaid students.

I think we would be surprised how many hills are tombs. Frig we should open every hill and we will probably find a Middle Eastern king, a Chinese Emperor or a Viking.

The colours of the structure's details are shown here:

^ Yeah but the subject matter sucks, four years behind a desk is the requirement to get underpaid to dig a hole

Maybe it was a royal grave made by the Diadochi for all of the royal family killed by the Diadochi

Hmm they suspect that an opening found 40x50 near the main entrance may be a past despoilment attempt ..

If they hear ghostly laughter from deeper in the tomb they should totally divide into two groups. The first group should contain a jock, a party girl, a nerd, a prom queen and an everyman, with one torch, one gun and a map thats painfully easy to lose or misread.

The second group should be a drunk horny couple who want to kiss oblivious of their surroundings. Preferably the girl should have a good set of lungs, if there needs to be any screaming done.

Olympias is looking like a very strong candidate now, with Roxane in second place and a combination of the two is not unlikely

This is one of the biggest archaeological discoveries in recent years, and certainly the biggest in Greece, after that of the royal tombs of Vergina (Aigai) by archaeologist Manolis Andronikos.

Guesses are for free and I'm gonna make my own, wild one: Could it be Sosthenes? The old general who took over and halted the Gaul advance in Macedonia after the death of Ptolemy Ceraunos? Ancient sources inform us that, although the general was offered the crown by the army, he denied it, due to not being of royal birth. That'd mean that he couldn't have been buried in Vergina, alongside other Macedonian kings. However, Sosthenes was certainly a beloved and great figure for the Macedonians, and as long as he was alive, Antigonos Gonatas, the founder of the Antigonid dynasty was unable to reclaim the kingdom of his father, Demetrius Poliorketes. It can be assumed that after Sosthenes' death, Antigonos would have wanted to honor the general in order to appease the masses. The only problem with this theory is that Macedonia had just undergone a economic and dynastic crisis, and therefore it would have been difficult for such a colossal monument to be constructed.
Under the patronage of Emperor Maximinus Thrax
"Steps to be taken in case Russia should be forced out of war considered. Various movements [of ] troops to and from different fronts necessary to meeting possible contingencies discussed. Conference also weighed political, economic, and moral effect both upon Central and Allied powers under most unfavorable aspect from Allied point of view. General conclusions reached were necessity for adoption of purely defensive attitude on all secondary fronts and withdrawing surplus troops for duty on western front. By thus strengthening western front [those attending] believed Allies could hold until American forces arrive in numbers sufficient to gain ascendancy."

It could be any tomb of a noble family from Greece. Most likely though it is a Macedonian family. I would love if it were Philip II and they found the body and did genetic testing just to record the family y-dna. Imagine all the people proclaiming relation to Alexander the great due to y-dna.
