Let us know how it goes!
Yeah, I'm interested. The last campaign I played was Macedon, and the civil war looked a bit like this. The odd thing was that the civil war armies never actually attacked my other territories - I had to send my armies to attack Pella first to resolve the civil war. I don't know if it was a bug or if the AI just decided they were better off defending... maybe I should've reported it as a bug.![]()
Rome had done good in my playthrough, They've battles lustiani and nervii (gallic confederation) for 50 years! They were on the brink of destruction but made it, so now they're a threat to me to! And Royal schytia scares me![]()
So after about 2 turns, thanks to my fortified elite armies ~25 000 of their troops are dead and about 7000 of my own.
after 1 more round, The Odryssian kingdom comes along and sends in an army and together I take back Pella. Now there's only broken and starving fleets left, sailing for a certain death.

AI is still dumb as f...![]()
how many times can civil war occur per campaign, infinite? Is it avoidable?
one time and after it has occured, there are no more internal politics at all, you can't promote your generals so you miss a lot of the upgrades that came with it. I think you can avoid it, if you keep the support balanced between the families
Good going CA, you really must be proud of your hard work.....
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Disable Civil War in this great mod pls it is modable
Why would you remove civil war? I for one thinks that civil war especially with the Romans is something there has to be. Without it you cant decide whether you want to keep the Senate or become Caesar and get yourself an Empire. Only problem is that the AI is surprisingly stupid and most times dont really give you that much of a challenge as we can see with this thread.
Nice on btw.![]()
Once as Parthia, i had a civil war, my armies were in egypt, then they took control of Nisa. When i arrived 5 turns later they took over 5 settlements. That was quite fun.
Yeah, the civil war is pretty dull when you're prepared for it, but if not... well, the most interesting civil war I had was a legendary campaign as Carthage. I was holding Northern Italy against various Celtic tribes, fighting the desert nomads in Libya, and I had just pacified the Iberian Peninsula. Then the civil war armies spawned in Carthage and took the rest of that province before my borders were secure enough that I could turn around to deal with them. At that point, I wasn't prepared for it since I actually hadn't hit the highest imperium level, but my approval was so low that the civil war triggered anyway. Rare, but it can happen.
Untill now I thought only Rome had civil wars
